About this item

  • Easy To Use: Easily connect 1/2" drip irrigation tubing to any standard 3/4" faucet, hose bibb or garden hose. Just insert and twist, no special tools needed. Each swivel irrigation fitting includes a pre-installed rubber washer to provide a water-tight seal.
  • Stress-Free Fit: Our irrigation faucet adapter connection works with the widest range of half inch tubing, from .520 to .620" Inside Diamater, .620 to .710” Outside Diameter and .045 to .055 Wall Thickness. Important: Please make sure your tubing specifications fall within these ranges for the proper fit. Compatible with many models of Rainbird, Orbit, Dig, Hunter and Toro tubing as well as generic 1/2" blank drip irrigation tube or drip line. Large fitting ID means less flow restriction.
  • Zero Leaks: Barb design ensures tubing will not slip out or blow off at high pressure and temperature. No slippage or leaking, even under high pressure.
  • Reusable & Long Lasting: Unlike other types of fittings, these parts are reusable and may be removed and reinstalled for a long, versatile life. Simply loosen nut to remove tubing. Durable construction provides years of reliable use.
  • Patented Locking Technology: Quickly revolutionizing irrigation fitting expectations worldwide, the patented locking technology works great under high pressures and around heavy foot traffic. A more rugged alternative to insert and compression fittings, these adaptors have a locking mechanism that is easily tightened after the drip line is pushed on.

Reliably connect your drip irrigation system and your water source. These durable adapters attach 1/2" tubing to any 3/4" faucet, hose bibb, manifold, or garden hose. Useful for drip irrigation system setup or repair, this essential drip irrigation part comes in a 3-Pack so you can keep spares on hand. Great for agriculture, landscape, residential and commercial irrigation applications.

  • Rubber Washer pre-installed for water-tight seal.
  • Quickly fastens in place. No special tools needed.
  • Reusable—can be removed and re-reinstalled.
  • Withstands wear for reliable use season after season.

For compatability, ensure your 1/2" Tubing falls within these ranges:

  • 0.520 to 0.620" ID (Inside Diamater)
  • 0.620 to 0.710" OD (Outside Diameter)
  • 0.045 to 0.055" Wall Thickness

How to Attach the Habitech 1/2" Irrigation Adapter

Step 1

1) Twist Collar Clockwise to Expose the Barb

Do not remove the collar. Twist the collar clockwise, toward the base of the adapter, to expose the barb.

Step 2 - Insert Tubing

2) Push Tubing Fully Over the Barb

Firmly push the end of the irrigation tubing over the exposed barb. If desired, warm the end of the 1/2" tubing with hot water so it will soften and stretch over the barb more easily.

Step 3

3) Twist Collar Counter-Clockwise to Secure

While holding the tubing, twist the collar counter-clockwise back over the tubing, to secure the connection.

I’ve tried at least 3 other products with varying designs to make this connection, but this is the first I’ve seen where I’m confident it will not leak. Excellent fit and connection quality.

I had a very hard time getting these secured onto the 1/2" hose but, once everything was installed it felt very secure. No leaks and it's holding up to the weather so far.

When attaching this, be sure that both pieces are screwed together THEN attach your irrigation line THEN back off the two pieces by unscrewing them. Sounds totally ridiculous but that’s how it work. Save yourself a divorce and Review the instructions on the product description which explains this. Hope you have a happy marriage long after this project ;)

This drip irrigation part is alternative to the kits and brand sold at Lowe’s and it’s a fraction of Lowe’s pricing. We started with the Lowe’s kit and after deciding to convert our 30’x120’ garden to drip to provide better irrigation and save water, we needed a more affordable solution. We bought 1/4” and 1/2” tubing on Amazon, drippers, and all the 1/4” & 1/2” couplings and fittings. We installed 300 drippers on 6 zones in the garden. 100 drippers on 2 zones in the front landscaping. The 1/4” polyethylene line on Amazon is a little tougher to slide over fittings, but 3 seconds under a heat gun it slides over easily (don’t go more than 3 sec). 50 drippers is about the max that can function on a traditional garden hose bib. We run each zone for about 30 min daily here in Florida (we haven’t had rain in a while and soil drains quickly). We were running sprinklers for much longer and the plants still weren’t getting enough water. A few days on drippers was quite a noticeable difference. Buying all the parts on Amazon saved us 1/2 or more on the project.

This part connects a 1/2" PVC pipe with 1/2" drip tubing. The pic side does have a o-ring to prevent leaks but the drip end consists of two loose items, on other words the drip plug is loose making it next to impossible to hold on to one part to tighten the other. The inner part that connects to the pvc end is rotating. It should be a one piece with the pvc side, now it spins and the two parts cannot be tightened to prevent leaks. So not only can't you screw the drip tuning tight but it will leak where you can't prevent it. Nuts.

Easy to install on 0.7" OD 1/2" tubing. No leaks. Threaded easily onto the hose.I replaced my existing adapters (another brand). Every piece of that brand leaked at the swivel (they were properly sized to the tube), was hard to press the tubing into it, and was difficult to thread onto the hose.

I had to replace a leaking fitting and this one worked well. Some have indicated they had installation problems, so here are a few hints about how I did it.1. The ID of the tubing is very important. It needs to be a little over 0.5". I checked mine with a 1/2" drill bit. You could also use a 1/2" dowel. The bit/dowel should be slightly (not much) loose in the end of the tubing.2. Make sure you don't have any rough edges on your tubing. If you do have some or if the end is not a square cut, make a new cut.3. Righty-tighty does not work for this fitting. Screw the locking (lower) nut clockwise until it bottoms against the upper nut. Push the tubing onto the fitting and make sure part of it goes over the barb-part of the fitting. Then tighten lower (locking) nut counter-clockwise until it is tight over the end of the tubing. If it leaks, you may need to use pliers to tighten it a little more. Don't overtighten as it is plastic and will crack.I didn't have to do this, but if you have trouble getting the end of the tubing over the barb, you can heat the end of the tubing with a hair dryer or by placing it in hot water. This will make it easier to stretch over the barb.

Super easy to install... only once you know how. But how would I know? No, don't tell me "oh, but it has an easy video." Is that video on the side of the adapter when I am outside, long after purchase, with not even a brand much less model on the very black unit. Oh, and it works 100% the opposite of MANY other connectors where you put the sleeve on the tube then screw it to the barbed end.So, as a designer, two points off for not doing SOMETHING to indicate how it is installed on or with each connector. If you have to use these professionally though: great. You'll never forget. If it takes you 10 seconds to install you are doing it wrong. Impossibly easy, and I wish they made it for normal hoses, a metal one for air hoses, etc. Great idea, dead simple, never leaks.
