This is well made with heavy duty brass and should last a very long time. The handle is pretty stiff but it should loosen up with repeated use. Much better than the plastic versions that barely last one season.

I've purchased 2 of these now. Both of them broke in the same place. I got the second one cause I thought it could just be a malfunction in manufacturing with the first one. I really like how easy it was to open and close so I wanted to try it again. I didn't let it freeze, I always drained the hose and left it open so the water would drain.

The first time using this valve it was quite stiff to turn. After initially breaking it loose it worked very easy after that. Great addition on the end of a garden hose for turning the water off without having to run back to the house when changing attachments. No hesitation recommending this item.

Well-made and attractive, does a great job of stopping flow without leaks. The shut off handle is very small, however (about a finger's-breadth in size for each leaf) and as such may be difficult for younger, older, and people with arthritis. While you can fairly easily replace the handle, that's defeating the point of buying it, and giving it to someone with some strength in order to open and close it repeatedly to work in the mechanism will go a long way to making it less difficult to open and close.

I've had four different types of shut off valves and I believe that this one is the only one of all of them that is a true full flow valve. The opening looks to be a 1/2 inch. I had one sprinkler that wouldn't work with some of the other valves because it wasn't getting enough water through it. Now it works fine. It seems very sturdy and has a metal ball in the valve and not plastic. It's easy to turn on and off. The rubber washer in the female end was a little small, which I suspect is why another reviewer didn't get one because it fell out somewhere along the line, or others who said it leaked. I have a whole small drawer full of rubber hose gaskets and just put a different one in and it's fine. No leaks. We'll see about longevity but so far so good.

Handy for end of hose to change nozzles etc without going back to the faucet to shut off. The valve is solid and won't break unlike the other ones with a tiny plastic lever.A big plus is the throat is full size and not consticted like most, it's a noticeable difference in the water flow. I also have a well made different brass shut off with a lever you can use one handed but with the smaller throat size. The only minus apart for the price is that the design requires two hands to shut off rather than the lever style you can operate with just your thumb, just something to be aware of.

Good product. But For the price i thought it Would be great. If the washer was a better quality it could be. Had to change the washer out within a week it started leaking. The new one i bought at my local hardware store is a little bigger and better fit.

This product is well made and works perfectly for what I needed. It allowed for a full water flow without restriction. I did not experience any leaks when fully shut off.

I bought this ball valve to attach to the end of my garden hose, so I could add or change attachments parentheses garden sprayer for chemicals, versus watering device) without having to return to the spigot. Works very well for this purpose and flow is not impeded at all When wide open. It is substantial, adding some weight to the end of the hose, but not a problem for me.

This valve has such a wide inner diameter the washer might end up restricting the flow more than anything else! The handle is easy to turn for blue collar men, but stiff enough to not open if dropped. Everything seems study/solid. We'll see how long it lasts. This is a MUCH better alternative to kinking the hose.Restricting the flow has always been the reason I have not bought one of these, so good job styddi solving that problem. Also, I love the handle size, it's small enough to not get in the way. A lot of these shutoff valves have a weirdly long handle.
