It does not say 3M on this tool, it say Tartan and that's fine with me. It works very well.

Mechanism allows too much tape to be dispensed. You have to hold the roll of tape while you pull out the amount you need which defeats the purpose of using a rolling tape gun. Wastes a lot of tape.

We have been using this model for over 15 year, the tape gun plastic tape guard final broke after constant use daily. Just bought another one today and its still made of the same quality. Tape stays in place on the roller and doesn't get stuck back on the roll after every use like some other models. Quality made.

Good tape gun for the money. Not as good as a ULine one I have accidently sliced my self a couple times with it, but it gets the job done.

Excellent tape gun, especially for the price. Prior to owning this bad boy I had only ever used these in various office environments sporadicly, so I admittedly don't have much to compare this one too. Overall it's very easy to load up and use, I only experiencing a few times where the tape slipped out of the bottom holder but it could have been from my own limited skills. It was a bit tricky at first to get a clean tear when I was done taping a section, and this was particularly true when taping wrapping paper or other surfaces not as sturdy as cardboard, for instance. Highly recommended.

I love these low cost excellent tape guns. I have tried more than 5 other styles - which are all more expensive. The tartan do not wear out. The design is simple and efficient. I run an ecommerce company and we have about 20 tape guns of varying age.The flexible vane on the top does not break and is more robust that others.Some people might prefer a softer larger santoprene grip but even for twice the money I would buy these in preference.
