I do alot of packaging and need a heavy duty dispenser. The size and style are great, however it does slide a little on a wooden surface.It weighs just over 1kg.

I was happy to find this folder on my 1 inch wide surgical tape. Nice big size. Reasonable weight. To make it completely one hand friendly (not using a secondhand to stabilize), I put double-sided sticky tape on the bottom to affix it to the particular desktop where I want to use it. Now it does not slide around at all.

The Officemate 2-in-1 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser works but there was one problem I needed to fix.Even though the dispenser is a hefty 40 ounces, it still slid around on the desk because the foam on the base didn't really provide any friction. I solved the problem by spending another $6 for a "dashboard anti-slip pad" (one of those things that makes it so you can put your phone on a car's dash): hxxps://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T36M3LBI cut a piece to size and glued it onto the bottom of the dispenser, and now it won't move unless I want it to.So the tape dispenser ended up being $16 instead of $10. I have enough anti-slip pad left over in case I need a second tape dispenser.

Finally a tape dispenser that doesn't move while you are trying to get a piece of tape! This is heavy duty and perfect- the double inner wheel for large and small roles confused me for a second but I figured it out pretty quickly.

This product is weighted and easy to install tape in. It dispenses the tape smoothly. I 'm using oversized and two sided tape currently in it, so far so good. It also has a smaller roller for regular size tape. Though the dispenser is thick plastic with plastic rollers they are sturdy and will be good for many years of reasonable school projects use. I would buy this dispenser again.

Pretty good for the price. I like the boxy black design. However, I do agree with most of the other reviews that the compartment is too small for most rolls of 3 inch tape. Kinda silly. The comment about the sand going everywhere is a little over the top - it was a broken unit, just return it. Most tape dispensers use sand to weigh them down. All in all, it's good, not great.
