I'm not going to hardness test these or try to break them. I'm just using them for various household projects. For that, I love these value packs and it's worth having them in reserve in the garage.

These packages of 3/8" diameter carriage bolts are available in a variety of lengths. I ordered the 3" length, which is perfect for the items I'm bolting together on my fences and gates. They come complete with nuts and flat washers, and everything fits properly. The bolts are made of Grade 307A steel, which is great for woodworking projects (but not recommended for assembling heavy metal parts). They are zinc-plated (not zinc-dipped), so they have a smooth finish and should have at least moderately-good rust and corrosion resistance. I consider these parts to be well-made, and a bargain for the price.

Fantastic bolts! I had to sister up two 2x6's and this allowed me to do it easily. Plenty left over to do another project another day too! Really good deal for the money!

I'm not a fan of obscure no name manufactured fasteners. I usually purchase name brand to insure they work properly. Name brand costs me a small fortune, & often I have to special order well ahead of my intended project start date, because truly good fasteners are not usually available at the big box stores in all sizes, off the shelf. This review will be thorough and critical because these came up on Vine & because my intended application is for use in my own home, to repair several joists/rafters & other things after severe tornado damage. This review is for the Makers Bolt 50 pack, which includes 50 bolts, washers, and nuts. The size I selected was 3/8"x 6". All 50 nuts, bolts and washers were present. This morning, on my hubby's "Honey Do List" was to assist me in testing ALL 50 bolts, nuts, and washers for usability. They were tested for their ability to properly seat and thread all the way to the head, by hand, easily, meaning not using power tools. Note: 36 of the 50 bolts properly threaded VERY EASILY by hand.Next up on the "Honey Do List" was to see if the bolts could overcome this issue by using a socket wrench. The remaining 14 bolts threaded with medium hand pressure/tork.I consider this a WIN for the product. All bolts/nuts and washers are 100% useable. The price point is good, as of this review date, the price for all 50 bolts/nuts/washerswas $46.97 in the USA. The cost for 50 equivalent 307a bolts/nuts/washers from bigbox stores was USA $70-75. Having a 50 pack delivered to your door & staying out of a bigbox store is also a win.All in all, I will be purchasing this manufacturers product again, because I already know I needmore & Vine was a good way too test run their product. I admit I was very skeptical, but am thrilled that I have found a good alternative to the expensive name brands.Other useful info:The included pic shows all 50 bolts fully threaded to the top with the included nuts and washers (I purposefully backed out nuts/washers 1/4 inch for ease of use later). All bolts are stamped 307A on top, which means ASTM grade A,(low to medium strength carbonsteel, 60000 psi). These type of bolts are used for general purpose, generic use, not for critical joint applications in steel construction. What does that mean in plain language? It means these are used for wood construction projects, NOT for steel structural applications where the fastener is a structural component of the joint, & reliant upon that fastener. In other words: Use them for your deck, joists, fence, joining wood to wood.Do NOT use them for your tractor or car!Should any of these bolts fail in their intended application, which is within thestamped 307a specs, I will be right back here editing this review.

What can you say about bolts, washers, and nuts. They work great, as expected.

This year I decide to finally refinish my picnic table set. As I expected when I got it disassembled the decades old hardware holding things together was shot. So I needed replacements and was delighted when I spotted this set! No need to worry about hunting down the right individual parts, everything comes together in a neat matched set. The threads are well cut. I look forward to enjoying many more years of good service from my refinished table now that I've been able to reassemble it with these!

Everything you need is in this package except for the tools to install them. They're in a very heavy plastic bag, and there was no tears, punctures or splitting in it, which is impressive for the weight of the fasteners within. They include washers and a nut as well, so you're ready to go. I got this size to use on some 2x4 projects (shelves, work tables, etc.). It's the perfect size for that at this length, and if you use this to fasten something thinner, such as a 2x4 plus a 3/4" plywood, there isn't much excess. I try to get lengths that are just enough. They drive fine, everything is finished properly and are the right sizes. I've had a number of fasteners from this brand, and they've all been great. Good price, product and packaging. This is one of a handful of go to fastener brands that I use whenever possible.

As I counted to confirm receiving 50 bolts, nuts, and washers, I inspected the lot for quality. I found no defects whatsoever so excellent quality control and excellent quality as well. While I'm not sure what grade 307A means, these are strong steel hardware pieces with very good heft (an indicator of strength and quality). These 3/8" bolts are excellent for bolting two pieces of 2X lumber together when very strong joints are needed. Grade 307A (these bolts) are much nicer in appearance than hot-dipped galvanized. Though the galvanized offer superior rust resistance over a period of decades, due to the thicker zinc ifrom the dipping process, these bolts with the thinner zinc finish look great for where appearance is more important, such as for exposed pergola ceiling framing. The washers are good and thick, not at all compromised in quality as some are. I threaded some nuts on to some of the bolts to check for too-tight threads or too-loose (slight wobble). Everything was perfect. The 3 1/2 inch version of these 3/8" heavy duty bolts currently is priced at 74 cents per unit, when buying fifty. That is a reasonable price for this kind of high quality hardware, earning this product five stars.
