I ordered a pack of these bolts after looking over the hardware that came with an Etrailer hitch for my 2024 Crosstrek Limited. The hardware seemed slightly insufficient for a clean secure connection to the forward mounting holes, so I went outside the box, and glad I did. When you order these on Amazon, they come from a Canadian company, but they're well established. (I looked up their "Triangle" marking on the bolt head.) I figure if they're hardware is tough enough for the Canadian cold temperatures, it's good enough for me in the middle eastern USA. (The washer in the pic came from Ace, and I made the gasket washer from scrap gasket material.) I still used the square spacer in the second pic over the flat washer and gasket, and having 1/2" longer bolts made the job easier. I looked in local hardware stores and they just didn't carry these in grade 8. Thanks Amazon!

Grade 8 bolts can withstand a beating, my former grade 2 bolts kept shattering on the hanging plates at the rifle range.

Bought these to beef up our cargo hitch carrier we got from Amazon which the carrier is great built but the nuts and bolts are weak, so these replaced them and gives us a peace of mind that what we place in the carrier will stay safe and will not break.

These are truly grade 8 carriage bolts which is hard to find. They work great,All of them arrived with good quality threads, no burs or defects at all..Recommend if you need true grade 8 carriage bolts.
