I am super happy with this product. A couple of years ago I bought the same type of product for three times the amount. I decided to try these out and was a very happy. 100% value for the money. They are super easy to use and also very easy to clean. I never had issues with my pool water becoming nasty or any issues with my filter after using these. I will definitely be buying more for next summer. Highly recommend purchasing these to anybody.

For this summer season, I wanted to try these instead of sand. I was pretty tired of the sand making it back into my pool (still don't know how that was happening).This is our 8th summer with an above ground pool and it's been our cleanest because of these! I'm truly impressed.We opened the pool about May 15th and on about July 1st I noticed that the pressure of water coming back into the pool was lower - also when we were rinsing out the filter [backwash was OK, rinse was low pressure]. So on July 15th I opened the tank to see if the balls needed cleaned out.They looked like meatballs (see pic), pretty gross really. I put them in a basket to rinse them out before using my washing machine, no way I was going to put them straight in there. I was so surprised how clean they came out after a cycle considering they were so full of grease, dirt, and small debris. I used 2 laundry soap packs, and I didn't use the included laundry bag cause I wanted all grass, bug debris to get washed away. The balls all stayed intact fine.I've now added them back into the tank and the pressure is amazing! I may wash them again in a month just cause we're using the pool daily lately. I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews, these are worth every penny.

These serve the purpose but aren't the best. We try to resuse them but once they're done it's over. They're light weight and our pool does great using them. However they just don't last. The fit our filter perfect and are super easy to use. We just wish they would last more than a half of a season.

I have replaced my sand in the sandfilter with these machine washable bio balls which help maintain my pool and keep it clean for almost up to a month or better I love the fact I can wash them in the bag that comes with them and most of all they easy to use. So good I purchased another set of them so I have one set washing and one set keeping my pool clean. I'd recommend these to any pool person looking for a easy up keep and low cost to buy filters for your pool filtration system.

Compared to the unwieldy bags of sand that weigh fifty pounds each, these bags weigh just 1.54 pounds, making them exceedingly simple to handle. Both their effectiveness and their usefulness are shown by the fact that these filter balls may be used in place of fifty pounds of conventional sand. In my current sand filter, the procedure of installing the filter balls was simple, and I was excited to see how they would function once they were in place. These filter balls have, in my opinion, performed far better than I had anticipated they would. Never before has the water in my pool been so transparent, and the filtration process as a whole seems to be operating at a much higher level of effectiveness. The filter balls are able to properly capture dirt, debris, and other contaminants, which ultimately results in water that is spotless and sparkling clean. After just a few hours of installing them, I saw an undeniable improvement in the purity of the water. The fact that the pressure on my pool pump has been lowered has probably also led to a reduction in the amount of energy that is being used, which is a considerable benefit.

I bought these to replace the sand in my filter after several years of use. I have been using them for two weeks and the water is just as clean as when I used sand. I have washed them once, just because I wanted to see how dirty they were. They hold a ton of dirt, but none of it comes back into the pool.Pros: lighter than sand and cleans as wellCons: they do need to be washed periodically

I've used filter sand for 28 years. It's easy to put in, and a real chore to scoop it out to replace. The filter blades have cracked twice over the years. Dirty sand blew into the pool each time. It's gross 🤮.These filter balls were super easy to get in the top of the filter. They look like big cotton balls, so my fiance was a bit skeptical about how they would perform.They are awesome! My pump doesn't work as hard, the inlet pressure is terrific, and the vacuum suction is much better than with sand. At the end of the season, I will remove and wash them. I'm excited to know that chemicals and debris won't be sitting in the filter sand all winter. Next Summer, a fresh start with the filter balls 😎

POOL OWNER OF 30 YEARS. DO NOT BUY THESE!! WORST POOL SEASON EVER! TRIED IN LIEU OF SAND. FIRST i TRIED ONE BAG OF THESE. HORRIBLE CLOUDAY WATER! SO CLEANED THEM AND ADDED ANOTHER BAG. WOULD NOT FILTER THE WATER! CLOUDY WATER FOR 2 MONTHS, SO i DITCHED THEM AND WENT BACK TO SAND TO FINALLY GET MY POOL CLEAR! THIS WAS AFTER MORE THAN TRIPLING MY CHEMICAL COSTS FOR THE YEAR ATTEMPTING TO GET CLEAR WATER! NEVER AGAIN! SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND LABOR BY NOT USING INSTEAD OF SAND! TOTALLY USELESS AND EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!
