This kit comes with three beginner designs to learn several types of embroidery stitches. It has embroidery floss, needles, three different colored backing cloths, and an 8" embroidery hoop. The illustrated instructions are easy to understand.These items are not the highest quality, but this is a beginner kit and has all the components needed to make your first embroidery at a reasonable cost and decide if it's a hobby you'd spend more money on.

I sprayed the cloth with spray starch to get ou the wrinkles and the ink ran making it impossible to see the stitches.

I love this kit! I was excited to pick it up for something fun to work on over the holidays. I guess I didn't read the details super clearly because I was surprised with how complete the kit was -- it comes with EVERYTHING you need (scissors, needles, seam ripper etc...) to complete these projects. For the cost, this kit is a great value!!I'm still working on completing these pieces, but here are my honest thoughts so far:1. The kit has everything you need making it great to pick up and throw in a bag for a vacation etc... The instructions are simple, easy to quickly reference, and don't take up a lot of space (1 sheet per project).2. I have experience with needlework, but I am a novice. I love this kit for learning and practicing more stitches. If someone is a very new beginner, this kit would be lacking a little bit. It does not teach you how to tie knots, to split floss, to connect the floss colors with the numbers, etc... A few YouTube videos may be needed to supplement this kit.3. The fabric, hoop, floss is all good/acceptable quality. The needles and scissors honestly feel a little dull. I've still only used the ones provided with the kit because they are all hanging out together and they get the job done, but I have thought about digging in my stash for sharper needles and scissors.4. The instructions have a few typos but nothing major. For instance, on one stitch it calls the embroidery floss "wire" instead of thread. Or I believe various sized french knots are used in this project, but the instructions only teach how to make the first/basic size. I also don't understand why one project has the word "JUST" on it. I think something may have been missed in translation, but overall-and taking everything into consideration-this kit is written clearly.5. I wish I would have laminated the instruction sheets as they are great reference charts but my paper is already starting to tear on the crease from repeated use.

I purchased this as I have always wanted to learn how to do it and thought it would be good to do on my brakes at work. It has been awesome! I am still on the first one, but you can see how much I have already improved. It’s super simple to just take out and work on for 20 minutes or if you had longer to work on while watching a movie. I just do a little bit each day and love to see the progress I have made. Can’t wait to get better.
