This was my first go with ribbonwork embroidery but I loved how it turned out. This is NOT a beginner project. If you're new to embroidery this will likely give you fits 🤣 but if you're intermediate or beyond give it a go. I ended up having plenty of ribbon (with lots left over) so either they've fixed that issue or I got lucky.

There is not enough ribbon included in the kit to finish this project. I bought ribbon that I thought was a close match was too heavy to pull through the fabric.

This kit is pretty, but I will have to go out to buy some more ribbon, because they do not give you enough ribbon to finish the central design. Also, it is difficult to know which color ribbon to use when working with colors that are similar, because the photograph you work from is shot from too far away to be clear. I quit working on it when I ran out of ribbon, and the sellar never responded to my first comment at all. If I am unable to match the ribbon, I will throw the project away, rather than tear out my work and start over. I should also say that I have been embroidering in various formats for more than 60 years, so this is not something I am doing wrong!

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNING PROJECT. Instructions are inadequate. Working with ribbon uses different knots and techniques which are not in the instructions. The imprint is almost invisible. Not worth it. This pillow kit is impossible to use.

The stamping is very easy to rub off and by the time you get to the end it's pretty much gone all together

The instructions for this project were limited at best. There are some very quick videos on the Amazon sales page, but the company logo gets in the way of some of that. I was frustrated that there wasn't enough ribbon (darker blue, white) or thread (dark green). (I wasn't wasting it with long tails; there just wasn't enough. I have lots of the other ribbons left over.) I had to improvise and order more. The silk thread didn't do well in the loose weave of the pillow fabric; I purchased a skein of perle cotton thread from a craft store and used that. Overall, I'm pleased with the look of the pillow, but I won't be purchasing craft kits from this company again.
