This allows me to remote connect into my computer without the need to have a monitor on it. Basically running headless. Beautiful and simple. Only gripe is it's bright so I put tape over it.

The Woieyeks 4K DisplayPort Dummy Plug works exactly as advertised. It was easy to set up and allowed my system to recognize a display without any issues. They were immediately recognized by the system, once plugged in. You have multiple selections in the display settings, so you're not stuck at only the 4k. This was nice when remoting in from a laptop, but when remoting from a workstation with large 40" 4k monitors, it makes a huge difference to be able to adjust the resolution on the fly.

I bought this for a headless server so that I could use VNC (small home network). I kept having issues with the screen going dark when I did not connect any monitors to my server. I read about the dummy plugs and thought that it was pretty inexpensive and to give it a shot. It works great and it allows me to do what I need to do remotely. The server has been running for about 2 weeks with no issues on display.

I was running Plex on a docker container on an Ubuntu on a miniPC that had Intel iGPU. To user GPU passthrough, HDMI port needed to be connected to a monitor otherwise the iGPU wouldn't show up in Ubuntu. Since I wanted to run the system headless, this dongle was exactly the solution I was looking for. It's fairly good quality for the price you pay and it works.

I used this for moonlight game streaming, so I could have my monitor off, it worked as expected. Very limited functionality.I prefer the virtual software display though, functions the same way, isn't limited by refresh rate or resolution, and supports HDR.

Muy bueno cuando no tienes mas de 1 monitor y quieres grabar tu pantalla y ademas quieres seguir trabajando mientras se graba o simplemente para hacer presentaciones en PPT, funciona muy bien hasta ahora.
