USB-C terminal had gunk on it and the device would not maintain connection when connected to the monitor. The USB-C plug was loose in the slot causing bad connection

I bought it for inr725 to use with projector in a class once in a week. Only one day it worked and next week onwards it was no longer working. I do not recommend this connector for serious users.

I’ve been super impressed with this adapter. I ordered it to connect my laptop to my tv screen. It works great - plug and play. I was using it within a minute of opening the package. Good image quality and good connection. I would definitely order this again.

Got it for my class. The hdmi to usb-c doesn't really work. Completely useless.

This adapter was just what I needed at work. I have a MacBook Pro, and an external monitor made by Dell. I didn't have an HDMI cable handy for the monitor, so I decided to use the USB-C capability of the monitor and the Mac. I tested the connection and it worked fine when the monitor was connected directly to the Mac, but after installing this adapter, the monitor wouldn't connect anymore. However, the USB 3.0 function of the adapter still worked fine. Also, when I plugged in this adapter, then tried to charge the laptop through the USB-C port on the adapter, it also worked fine. So possibly the adapter is fine, but the monitor is finicky. I was able to find a workaround that allowed me to keep everything connected and still charge the Mac, so I'm happy with the purchase overall. Maybe I'll try it out on a different monitor and see if I can determine what the problem was.

At the time of this review the price for this device was $9.99.DO NOT assume that if your phone has a USB C port it can support HDMI streaming.Verify that your phone is capable before purchasing this device. There are several app, but NONE are reliable in determing the USB C to HDMI compatibility.My research identified these phones are capable: Google Pixel phones, OnePlus 7 and Samsung Galaxy phones (S10, S20, S21, and Fold ranges).My Samsung Galaxy A13 phone is UNABLE to use this device to stream. I use this device as an USB OTG (USB On-The-Go). I can connect my phone to an external USB thumb drive or hard drive.I'm now able to transfer files , view movies and listen to mp3 stored on a USB drive.

The reason I purchased this product was for our movie projector. It attaches with no issues and is compatible with my phone (android) and it registered right away without having to install any apps. Took me a minute to figure out how to use the TouchPad sensor on my phone and then realized that the the image was being displayed on the projector screen. Took only a couple of minutes to figure out but it works well and we can stream movies and shows with ease just by plugging it in and connecting to my phone. This requires no charging as it runs and works using the power from whatever device you are plugging it into and the fit is stable when plugging it in with no loose connection or ease of it falling out. Definitely worth the value for the price and if mine ever ceases to work, I would definitely be back to buy another.
