I have an M1 Mac Mini with a 30" cinema display - this DOES NOT WORK at all. I do have another brand that works fine, so it's not the Mac mini who's at fault.

Works well with my 2025 Mac mini M4, and much older 2010 Apple Cinema Display. It's not a 4K screen so USB C is fine.Well made, solid construction, looks good with Apple products.

I've been using a no-name USB C to VGA adapter from my Macbook Pro M1 to my 10 year old 20" HP S2031 for over a year. I finally got tired of the low resolution and intermittent blinking, and planned to buy a new monitor. As a last resort I tried this BENFEI USB C to DVI Adapter and IT LOOKS GREAT. I was quite surprise and am extremely happy with the result. I even lowered the resolution for my normal typing and searches and will increase it for my video editing and photo work. I figure it saved me at least $150. I'm extremely please. I highly recommend it. With free returns, how can you go wrong?

I thought my monitor was going bad, turns out it was just the adapter. This worked great, quality connector, great video quality.

I have a 2008 Apple Cinema Display that I picked up locally for 40 bucks, in the hope that I could use it as a monitor for a Mac Mini I purchased about four years ago. It worked well then, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it also allowed me to connect a new M3 Macbook Pro to the same monitor with no issues.I have used this item regularly for the past couple of years and have had no issues at all. It's well-built, insanely cheap, and gets the job done!

I just got a new M1 Macbook air with Ventura and NOTHING was working to connect my old Apple Cinema Display, which I LOVE and wanted to continue to use. Ventura, it appeared from what I read online, was supposed to be problematic with compatibility with the old cinema displays and so I had no clue what I was even supposed to fix when trying to get it to work... (Turns out Ventura is NOT the problem... the Thunderbolt connection is the problem)The first thing that DIDN'T work was using a DisplayPort to USBC adapter (I forget the brand, but I had no idea Display Port was different than Thunderbolt, they look the same and some Amazon ads even call them Thunderbolt... but they are NOT the same thing, i discovered FINALLY)... So I used the adapter in sequence with my old DVI to Thunderbolt adapter that I used with my old macbook air. It of course did not work... and I didn't know why...When I clued into the difference between Thunderbolt and Display Port I then tried (again, using my existing DVI to thunderbolt adapter) Apple's own Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter (which I bought HERE and will now return because it does not work) . I wasn't keen on having two adapters in sequence but I was basically trying everything I could think of....BTW, I originally order the Thunderbolt 3 or USBC to Thunderbolt 2 adapter from apple when I ordered the computer along with two other USBC to USB adapters (so I could use all my existing STUFF... printers etc... what a pain)... and the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter was stolen from the package, delivered by Fedex!!! Nothing in the open envelope, so it took me at least a week longer to find out that it doesn't work because I had to reorder it here. Wasn't taking another chance ordering it from Apple... NEVER USE FEDEX!! Especially if you live in the country...Anyway I JUST got THIS adapter yesterday and frankly was not optimistic... left it all day after trying the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter which also arrived yesterday... I was told by Apple that it would work and so I tried it first, and since it DIDN'T I, because I had other things to do and didn't want to get distracted trying to trouble shoot again if THIS didn't work (also bought a DVI to HDMI adapter and a hub will try that next)... woke up early today and decided to at least try this DVI to USBC adapter with a clear head and no expectations and IT WORKED!!! I've been working on this for two weeks...I REALLY wish they had not confused Thunderbolt with USB with DisplayPort by making them look the same but not work the same way... it took me WAY to long to figure all that out and even the people at apple are not clear about it... THEY suggested their own really expensive Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 connector and it DID NOT WORK... I FINALLY found the explanation about the differences between all the USBS, Thunderbolts and Mini Cinema Display on their website but it is also really hard to navigate... I couldn't even tell you how to find that page again... HOW many times to I have to log in? so I'm still not sure I could explain it to someone without looking at my notes ) Anyway after HOURS and DAYS of trying different things and troubleshooting, THIS WORKS!!!PS I also bought a USBC hub with USB3 and HDMI ports AND an HDMI to DVI adapter and IT WORKS TOO... Apple also didn't know this... I suppose I should TELL THEM... (Do their job for them.). So I will keep both for different potential configurations...

Quality is good. Works for the price... but did something i didn't expect. I have a HP work laptop with only usb c and vga on my laptop and hdmi. I was trying to connect two external HP monitors that only had dvi and vga ports. The moment i connect this.. my computer no longer recognizes the other vga monitor and basically made my computer only look for dvi. No matter what settings i did in the computer or the monitor itself it would not play nice. I gave up and got a vga to hdmi connector instead... but my recommedation would be if you are wanting something for dual monitors....make sure to stick with the same technology on both. I kept this product because I work in IT and it will be handy later... but just wanted to share my issue.
