1）Uni-directional, Not Bidirectional
- This adpater is used to connect the HDMI source to the VGA Display, it could not work in the opposite direction.
- For the VGA source to HDMI Monitor solution, please see the table in the following.
2）Not Compatible with low voltage HDMI Devices
- NOT compatible with Blu-ray, PS4, Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display, Mac mini, and Apple TV.
- Those devices are low voltage HDMI source, could not provide enough power for chipset through HDMI slot. Another solution, HDMI to VGA with external power input is required.

Works really well. Upgraded my desktop, but they all seem to use hdmi video now, but this adaptor enabled me to keep my existing monitor. Simple plug and play.

Auto detected maximum full resolution of 4:3 Old (like really ole) flat monitor.No external power, neat trick. HDMI must have power or something.Arrived fast, works like magic. Well worth the low price. Will buy more!

Great little device. It saved my 55'' TV with all the HDMI ports no longer working. The RCA connection is not as clear as HDMI, but it does a pretty good job.
