This is an awesome ice "shaver". So easy to use. You hand crank it which can take a little force but nothing crazy. It is loud when you crank it. The result is like a snow cone crushed type ice. Perfect for rum drinks.

This ice crusher seems to be of decent quality but in use, it struggles. It does not make shaved ice but simply attempts to crush it into smaller chunks. I got it to crush ice when I'm sick and it requires too much elbow grease and feels like it will break with every turn so there's no way I want to fight that when I feel like I'm dying.My Review Criteria: I do not review anything that I don't want/need for my own personal use and I have enough knowledge about it to provide accurate and useful details. Don’t know how I feel about this product. It doesn’t really give me shaved fluffy ice for snow cone. It just break ice to smaller pieces. It nice to have smaller pieces of ice sometime, but am I really going to hand crank my ice for each drink, not really. Maybe for a party.

Does Not SHAVE ice! It crushes ice if you put in a LOT of effort.This unit only crushes ice to one size regardless of which way you turn the crank.

This device seems like it only weighs a couple ounces and feels fairly cheaply made, but it does shave ice as long as it’s small pieces. I grew up with this type of ice crusher, soI am very familiar with using them and how to allow them to dry.Sadly, my unit already has rust in 2 1/2 days.I'll be returning and looking for a stainless steel one that won't rust. I read the reviews, but I figured people didn't know how to properly allow it to dry. I was wrong.

this ice shaver does not deserve the name ice shaver...if you want to get shaved ice out of this thing your gonna have to put shaved ice into it because this thing wont break regular ice cubes...i had to break the ice cubes to even get it to grab them in the teeth of the machine and even then i struggled to get them broken smaller in the machine...and it feels like it will break easily if i force it any harder...its just not very well made and does not work very well
