The water with the insert messy so discarded. For my microwave 50 percent power and 2 minutes with zero explosions.

We cannot adjust our microwave to a lower power so we were not able to use this cooker successfully. It would be better to design a cooker that can use full power or 50 per cent power.We did try using full power and adjusting the time, but this did not work.

Following the microwave instructions resulted is a very hard yolk and a runny egg white. Not like a poached egg. Great to make a quick hard boiled egg though.

The eggs stick in the slots in the bowls.Messy clean up! Toss out inserts and just use butter.
