I previously owned a rechargeable electric pole saw. The chain would consistently fall off. I purchased this item and sure glad I did! The blade is extremely sharp and doesn’t take much effort to get thru even a thicker branch. It’s a great workout for shoulders and arms. 100% pleased with this purchase!!

I used it today and am impressed with how well it's built. The poles are fiberglass, because metal would make it too heavy at long extensions. I used it with all but one section installed, and the problem I ran into wasn't that it was too HEAVY to lift, but rather it becomes unwieldly because it wobbles. When you begin to make your cut, you MUST make slow deliberate strokes. If you get in a hurry, the wobbling pole will cause the blade to hop out of it's groove, then for the next 2 minutes there will be a lot of wobbling and fidgeting and cussing while you try to get it back into the groove. A 4-5 inch branch required 40 initial strokes, then I put the pole end against my belly to rest my arms a bit, then finished off with 30 strokes. Sounds like a lot of effort but not really compared to the cost of hiring someone. I had one branch that would have required the full 26 feet, but since it was already unstable at 22 feet, the practical limit, I used an A-frame ladder to compensate. Most people don't know what length they will need, and 26 ft. sells better advertising-wise compared to 22, so I don't blame them for including that extra pole, but it's just unusable. Maybe for trimming a palm frond while keeping it completely vertical. An idea I had for improvement: I know with steel, box tubing is more rigid than cylindrical tubing. I wonder if making the fiberglass sections square (or even triangular) would reduce flexing. The metal connectors could still have round threaded portions, but the receptacle shape would be square. And if the square portions didn't line up perfectly when threaded together (i.e., a diamond end facing a square end), it might improve rigidity even more.

Great tree pole saw. Was exactly the right tool I needed. The pole comes exactly as described. Bag, gloves, all the sections, additional saw. The saw can be used as a handsaw. The blades are sharp! For today’s project, I put all but one section together. Honestly, I would have needed a helper to manage the pole with all the sections together, what with weight and slight bending. However, this is a terrific tool. Cleverly made. And the inclusion of an extra saw, gloves, and bag is greatly appreciated. This terrific tool made my project so easy. I can foresee this amazing tool being just what I need to keep all the trees around my property trimmed, as needed. I can’t wait to use the handsaw! All in all, you’ll love this tree pole saw.

For a one-time use I guess its ok, but my landscaper turned his nose up at it as being poor quality.

Fast shipping and the blades were surprisingly sharp and cut well, if you're buying this for the 26ft be warned it is a little difficult to use with all the poles attached but can be done
