We recently held a pirate-themed event and needed some accessories for kids to play with as part of their pirate adventure. We had eye patches, bandanas, treasure maps, and these telescopes.Now I realized off the bat that getting these at about 80 cents each wouldn't amount to a high-quality product. That should be expected when you are buying these in bulk. But knowing that in advance, I was surprised they were a little better than I expected. None were broken; they extend and retract and could be used as fun pirate props for the kids. Yes, they are cheap plastic, and peering through the telescope isn't like peering through a real one, but the overall effect we wanted (kids to have pirate accessories at our event at an affordable expense to us) was there. And the kids had fun with them as they played "pirate!"Overall, we are pleased with these.

So these are junk but fun junk. They are great for our little buccaneers during talk like a pirate day but you can barely see anything out of them. They also have a tendency to bind up so you have to help kids open them.
