The price was right! It does all the things that the more expensive ones do. So easy to use. The only downside is that lint gets in easy, but it does come with a cleaning brush.

The direction book it came with was no help. I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures off the device because there is no SD card slot and it stores it in the machine. I hooked the machine up to my computer thinking it would register the USB and nothing would pop up on my computer. Returned and looking for a different one.

I was scanning old slides from my grandma and my old film negatives. It worked just fine. I just wish that I could have uploaded the images directly to my laptop while scanning instead of saving them to the device and then unplugging the power cord to plug into my laptop to transfer afterwards. It was easy to use. The instructions were basic. I like it. I wish it could have done the 120 verichrome film, but oh well.

The screen was so dim negatives were barely recognizable. Negatives were very loose and unstable. Multiple computers did not recognize the USB connection, so there was no way to transfer scanned images from the device.

I picked this up cause it was a self-contained piece of equipment, very small, and cheap relative to more professional film scanners.Setup and scanning is pretty quick, with a press of a button to adjust color channels and then another button press to capture a scan. Images are stored locally and aligned by hand.It should be capable of storing about 5000 scans at the upscaled 22mp resolution and putting it in USB mode allows it to connect to a PC like you would an external USB drive, but it doesn't have any expansion options.I was able to get good results on black and white film but absolutely couldn't nail a scan in color. There's a reverse vignette, upscaling artifacts, and overall the build feels like a toy rather than a tool. I ended up returning it and getting an old Nikon Coolscan IV instead.

I have already scanned dozens of negatives. The prints were lost over the years. This thing is great for saving old photos. It was easy to learn and the quality is great.

The plastics used for loading into this unit were very flimsy and hard to open. Felt like they were always about to snap. Once I extracted an image from a slide I could not get either of 2 computers to recognize the scanner. So the image was trapped on the scanner. Pointless and frustrating. This is a completely generic machine, and just another irresponsibly conceived piece of garbage. It amazes me that it could have gotten any positive reviews.
