Installation Method:
- Open the film cover of the film holder;

- Close the film cover and press down until it stops;
- Finally put in the scanner, making sure the film holder is seated in the scanner.

I seem to have lost the original that came with my scanner (Epson V600), no doubt it will turn up within a few days of buying this.It does the job as good as the original. The negs snap in to the holder firmly and I've been getting some excellent scans. The holder has the little tabs that line up perfectly with the scanner bed to hold it in place.Not so much the slides though. For that I would suggest a macro lens and one of those illuminated slide copier holder things- they turn out much better.I have a long term plan of scanning all my (1980s) old negatives and slides but little did I realise what a huge job this will actually be.

was scanning film negatives and within a few times of opening, the clips to hold the film in place broke. doesn't hold anything down properly in those spots now, which unfortunately makes it useless now.

It is a wee bit sloppy in the scanner, it slips around. You need to be careful. The original fits much better. I know this because I could not find it so I bought this. Upon putting it away I found the original one (I swear it was not there when I looked 5 times) exactly where I keep it so I was able to do a side by side comparison. If I did not find the original I would be happy with this one.

While it looks very similar to the OEM, I don't believe this is made by Epson. The plastic if flimsy, and in the case of the one I received was warped and won't lie flat - which makes it pretty much useless.

This holder works fine for 35mm negatives and slides. It is a little more flimsy than the factory holder but it gets the job done.

For the few of us who cherish vintage negs and transparencies of what would now be considered odd sizes, this will work! Recommended. This size is very hard to find.
