Summary: It does a great job converting your negatives and 35mm slide positives to .jpg files. Plenty of features and capabilities. If you've got a bunch of negatives and no way to deal with them, this is the way to go. The device is easy to use.Details:-It works with a bunch of film formats. I used a roll of 35 mm negatives and some 35mm positive slides. There are adapters for more film types.-It's powered through USB-C. You can plug it into the wall (it actually comes with the AC plug), or you can plug it into your computer. You'll probably want to just use your computer so you can transfer your images from the device to your PC.-The file transfer worked flawlessly, and my computer recognized the device immediately when connecting and choosing the appropriate menu choice.-It has 16gb internal memory, so it'll hold a lot.-There is no battery. You must plug it in.-It comes with an HDMI cable that I did not try. I assume it works.-The built-in screen is a good size (didn't measure, but maybe 4"x5"?)A few considerations:-The buttons are not intuitive. They could have been laid out better or shaped differently.-The screen angle is fixed and cannot be adjusted. It was a little awkward on the desk, but definitely manageable.-The instructions and screen prompts are good, but every now and then you see something that doesn't make sense (lost in translation)Overall, this is an awesome product. If you're the family historian like me, then this is a tool you'll need.
