Well, this didn’t come close to surviving a bear. First time Winnie came for my trash it had these ripped open in seconds. These will probably be fine for small animals like raccoons but definitely not for trash flippers.

I got this because we've had a bear consistently knocking our trash can over and we would find our trash all over the driveway the next day. Installing it was easy, just had to drill a few holes and it goes on with a screw and nut on both the lid and the can itself. The clips are made of a strong plastic, and it held up during rain and colder weather so far. The bear came back and knocked the can over, but the lid stayed closed! I bought a second for the other trash can. It's just as advertised, I'd definitely recommend!
