I bought this 2 pack and activated it for use in a remote device, not a cell phone.Activating it on the phone with T-Moble is easy enough. You will need to tell them the devices IMEI number, the zip code where service will be used, and the SIM Card Number printed on the SIM card. They charge a $5 activation fee along with the first month's payment for whatever data plan you choose. The minimum you could choose is a 2GB/month plan for $10/month with automatic activation.(I wish I had read the details on the product more closely. I made the mistake of seeing some value in "pre-paid". There is NOTHING PRE-PAID about this card.Plus the customer service seems a bit sketchy. On my first call I didn't have the IMEI device number. When I explained that I'd have to call back, the tech tried several different ways to press me for the SIM card number and other details to speed up the process when I called in again. That seemed odd since he wasn't able to create an account for me in the system without all of the information and the $5 activation fee. So, despite being a catch-22 he kept trying to get the SIM card number.

Ah, ‘tis the season—baby momma's calling, the rug rats need gifts, and I’m seriously considering changing my number. But for now, I’ll settle for these T-Mobile SIM cards. Why? Because nothing says “please stop asking for more” like a new phone number. Yep, two of them. Perfect for prepaid plans, postpaid plans, or just plans to avoid commitment—kind of like me.The **"triple-cut" design** is the real MVP here, because whether they need Nano, Micro, or Standard, these cards can handle it. Compatibility with **3G, 4G, and LTE** means it’s versatile enough for any device, as long as it’s GSM. But heads up: these SIMs are unactivated. Translation? You’re on your own when it comes to setting them up. No annual contract, though—because who wants a long-term commitment these days? Not me.So, if you need to keep the peace with minimal effort or just want to gift-wrap some “DIY connectivity,” these SIM cards get the job done. But seriously, I need to start screening calls.

I used one card out of the double pack for one week and it stopped working. Called T-Mobile tech expert. They said card was previously activated and for a reg cell plan not a data plan. The tech asked where it was is was purchased. Saidm Here on Amazon. Tech then terminated the card and plan. I had to go to an official T-Mobile store and get new sim cards and activated and added money for the basic 5gig data plan. All for free. Kind of sketchy deal here. Never did this before. At the Tmobile store, tech then checked the other three cards and said they were all blank. No Plan, data, info, or anything. So 12bucks gone down the drain. Tech said nothing on them to even activate. So be aware. The tech will investigate. Just sharing my exp. They said, make sure go to a store and tell them what you want to get the right type of sim card and phone number and email to activate it properly and avoid interruptions or sync issues.

I dropped my phone in a lake over Canada Day weekend while visiting family up in Canada. Who would have known that Amazon.ca (Canada) carried TMobile SIMs?! Saved me the hassle of having to get a SIM from TMobile in the US somehow (especially with the borders being closed during Covid), and its a fraction of the $25USD fee TMobile charge. I popped the SIM in my unlocked phone, called TMobile to activate it, and BOOM! I was back! Amazon you're a lifesaver!

I had postpaid T mobile connection (part of family plan) and I wanted to shift to the prepaid one (T mobile connect 15$/mo) as it was cheaper for me.I called up T mobile customer care, they asked for the(1) family plan account #, and(2) the account pin(3) a new sim card (this one from amazon)I just had the account # and told them the name and cell no. of the family plan head, so they called him up and got authorization to drop me from the family plan. They then transferred me to their prepaid division, they asked me for the Sim # (not the cell phone no.) that is written on the back of the sim cards purchased from amazon. Then they just transferred/ported my old no. from postpaid (family-plan) to my individual pre-paid plan. After, the phone got disconnected with customer care (as the old sim now became defunct). I replaced my old sim with my new sim (but with old cell #).Even though they said that it will take 24-48 hours for my new sim to be activated, it got activated in 5 minutes and I received welcome texts from T-mobile. Could not be happier! It was no hassle at all.Additionally, T-mobile gave me 1 month of free usage in prepaid. It has been almost 1 month that I saving around 10$/mo with this prepaid connection, I have faced no issues.

I have purchased a few of these. T-mobile always has a different issue with activating them. I've never had one work in a hotspot without calling. But most often, after they tell me they cant do them several times, they do end up making it work. So i am pretty sure it is a system thing on their end.As a side note, i have never done business with any company that has more ways to screw up a new order than T-mobile. they have - hands down, the worst and most frustrating system for setting up new customers. I suspect that most, if not all of these cards are fine, the only problem being T-mobile's incredibly flawed system. Even on the accounts i already had working, I have had to get a new email address to re-access my already existing account, escalate through 3 levels of tech to simply add a payment to an existing acct, etc. It probably is not the fault of these Sims. So i'd advise being very persistent, calling a few times if you get the wrong answer the first time, (I've had the 3rd or 4th tech fix my unfixable issue a few times).... or pay a little more and use a different carrier.

I got two SIM cards for the 1/3 the price of one at T-Mobile. I only needed one, but the two-pack was worth the price. I will keep the other as a backup, it expires in 2021 if un-activated. When going through the T-Mobile website to add a line to our postpaid plan and activate the SIM, I couldn't proceed past the part of the checkout where it was forcing me to buy a SIM kit for $25. There was no option to use an existing SIM. So I just abandoned the cart, went through the support chat on the website, and they were able to activate it in a few minutes with no issues.
