I bought this fire alarm, installed it myself, and guess what? I didnโt need no man to help! Thatโs rightโjust me, a screwdriver, and sheer determination. Installation was a breeze, and I only had to double-check the instructions once (okay, maybe twice). The alarm itself is very enthusiastic about keeping me safeโso much so that it screams at me every time I slightly over-toast my bread. But hey, better safe than sorry, right? At least I know it works! The battery backup is a nice touch, so I can rest easy knowing itโll yell at me whether the power is on or not.Overall, a solid fire alarm. Just be prepared for it to judge your cooking skills.

Hello All,The OLUNCLE Two-In-One Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector is a breeze to set up in an effortless plug-and-play straight out of the retail box. It comes with 2 AA generic batteries to install on the rear backing of the unit. Although, there isn't a direct battery cover hatch like with most electronics for some reason or another. The circular ceiling rear mounting plate nonetheless doubles to cover over the exposed set of AA batteries all the same.I chose not to mount to the ceiling my smoke / monoxide detector and kept it on top of my refrigerator in a basket instead. The unit is quite compact and weighs a few ounces with a shrieking TEST button on the front face plate with an electronic LED display. Be sure to be a few feet away or turn the unit away from you when you press the TEST button, it's that extremely loud. The unit comes with a set of aluminum small screws with a set of plastic mounts for the screws. The instructions are only in English with a legible font size overall.

It is Made well. I like that it shows the digital numbers if there is a carbon monoxide leak. Battery operated. The price is very reasonable for four alarms.

Worked for a while but failed before any battery change. Kept beeping even with new batteries. Had to thrash it.Update on my review. The seller replied to my review and offered to send me a replacement free of charge. He mentioned that the original item may have been able to do a reset although I had already discarded it. The seller then sent me a email that a replacement was on its way.Great customer service support!

I have installed my fair share of smoke detectors and this is by far the worst designed mounting bracket ever. There are three plastic j shaped clips that have to slide into three holes on the detector and you turn to lock them in. The problem is that the three clipopenings are not wide enough down to slide into those holes. They end up lining up with the detector. As such you need to somehow from the top push down on the clip a little bit, slide it in, go to the next one, repeat and hope that you're getting all of them in. If you don't get them in they will all come out and you'll have to start again. One of the clips broke on me while I was trying to do this absurd procedure. I would definitely suggest looking for something with much better mount.

They probably work fine but I couldn't keep it in my bedroom. It has a BRIGHT green flashing light letting you know its working (that's good) but if you are sensitive to light, like me, then plan on putting them somewhere else. I tried covering with some tape and it was still too bright! I don't think there is a way to fully do it unless you cover its ability to detect everything properly.
