I needed just a little more length for a 17mm ball mount magsafe charger. This added 3.5 inches making my phone much closer and easier to control my music thru while driving. It also lets me get a more ergonomic angle able to adjust your mount to be right where you want it. It goes up to 90 degrees, but I just needed it to be tilted to a few degrees off center.I was worried that the metal ball being not grippy or slipping, but it has not been a problem so far.
