Been waiting for over a year to buy another Dot 5th gen with clock, but I guess they are phased out and the Echo is its replacement. It's doesn't seem to recognize my voice like my DOTs do, but the Echos speakers seem just as loud which is a huge plus. But, ad after ad after tip after tip, after Amazon shop plugs bugs me big time. You can turn the feature off (partially) but not completely. Wish the sleep mode has the full time led on screen rather then small in lower bottom corner. It's screen IS vivid but most of the decent video themes have to be bought. Still learning it's features and i recommend get a stand that raises its base from it just sitting flat on the table. Harder to see with out it. I bought the 3 tier telescopic stand/ holder. There's a magnet on bottom to help stay snug on after market stand. Over all its petty good at the 49.99 price.

Like the title says, it makes a great item even better and more functional to use. It elevates the Amazon show product to a proper height and a proper angle as well. Even my wife said she loves it.

I have this on my endtable so I can see the show above my tea cup! It tilts as well.

The stand does not particularly look sturdy, but it actually is sturdy. The magnet strength is impressive. I typically use the stand fully extended and it functions well, so far. I also like the swivel feature which seems well designed. Just FYI, it is made specifically for the Echo Show device. If you want to use the stand for anything else, you would need to adhere the metal plate that is included to the non-echo show device you want to use. I personally would not like to adhere a metal plate to my phone or any other device.

So I don't know if you ever have the difficulty of trying to get Alexa to hear you. This was happening to me and my husband a lot. By putting Alexa on this platform and lifting it up, it seems like it's able to capture what we are asking a lot more. It's not a bad looking gadget on the counter.I do recommend this if you're having difficulty having Alexa hear you. I feel that getting Alexa in the air, and away from the wall has helped tremendously.
