This phone holder works great! It's a little tough to clamp on, but because of that, I know its hold is really secure. It holds on tight and will not fall off. It's a really strong magnet as well. I recently took it on a plane trip and I had no trouble getting it though security. It worked great on the plane. You can use it anywhere that you need an extra hand. It would work in the kitchen while using a recipe, in the car when kids are watching a show, in bed hooked onto side table and etc. Its so small that it fits really well into my purse or in my car glove box. Super handy.

Pros:- Very strong grip! Both the magnet holding the phone and the base attached to a table- The piece that grips is fairly thin if you're trying to secure it to a tray table in the upright position; also padded so shouldn't scratch anything- Highly maneuverable and easy to position! Three different articulating joints, including a ball join at the base which rotates 360 (left or right), 170 up and down, and then the last joint where the mag ring connects to the base also rotates about 180 up down to position the phone as you likeCons:- Slightly larger than a similar device I have (but this one is more maneuverable)- Easy to pinch your fingers pushing the mag ring back into the baseNotes:- Do not attach the included mag rings onto the base; there's no need to do that. If you do, just slide it off.- It comes with two different types of mag rings that you can attach to your phone or case if yours doesn't already have one. If you have a MagSafe phone/case, just use it directly. Worked great on my iPhone 13/13 Pro/16 Pro

I purchased this for a very long flight. My husband and I will be taking, when it arrived in the mail, he was not impressed. As soon as we were on the airplane, my husband informed me he would be using this the whole flight. It is very easy to attach to different widths, phone sits at a variety of angles. I did not add an additional magnet ring to my phone or case, I just took the case off my phone and it held pretty well. Could the magnet strength have been better, yes; could a stronger magnet be bad for your phone, possibly? I think it’s a great product with for your phone and you could use it many places, many times.

This Smofish device strongly clamps on to a tabletop or seatback edge that is 1.5 inch or less thick. Then you pull up the phone holder part and magnetically attach a magsafe cellphone or attach an included peel-off-stick-on magnetic ring to your phone case or android phone. The magnetic ring I already had on my Pixel 7 case attaches so strongly that I have to slide it off sideways to unattach it. The cellphone holder can swivel 180 degrees in the vertical plane and rotate 360 degrees in the horizontal plane. It's very useful to accomplish a handsfree view in almost any direction. This is an excellent product at a low price.

This Travel Holder is made to be used for traveling on a plane. It clips onto the seat in front of you and your device will be magnetically attached to the holder. The front ring has two adjustments, rotate the magnetic ring 360 degrees, and the ring itself swivels up and down. The magnetic ring is very strong. I put my ipad with a ruggized case on the holder and it did fine. The only thing I would say is the extra mag-safe rings provided do not appear to have great adhesion. Luckily I had a strong one to place on my ipad case. I like this device and look forward to using it on my next flight. I would recommend this product to others.

Smofish designed this phone mount well.The base has a sturdy clamp that can grip my kitchen countertop which is 1.5" thick.In most cases such as in an airplane this product is mainly intended for, it doesn't need to open that wide.The product is designed to be able to shorten to 5" long when not in use.Fully extended, from bottom to tip of the magsafe circle is 8" long.Like competitor product, the phone holder has two articulating joints.One is a ball-joint which allows 360 degrees rotation.Second one is a hinge joint which can swivel 180 degrees.Those joints make the phone holder very useful as you can position to any angle you prefer.iPhone has built-in magnetic ring which allows it to attach securely to any magsafe mount.However, nearly all people use a protective case with their iPhone.In that situation, you must use an iPhone case with built-in magsafe ring - see photo.This product comes with a paper ruler and add-on magnetic rings.The paper ruler helps position the add-on metal ring to the back of the phone or to the phone case that has no built-in magsafe ring.This may be a bit challenging to do, I tell you.My iPhone case has a built-in magsafe ring which will attach securely to the mount without using one of the two add-on rings.It is better to just buy a case which already has a built-in metal/magnetic ring and skip the trouble figuring out where to position the add-on metal ring on your phone or your phone case.Bottom line, this product is very cleverly designed, sturdy, versatile, and should last long.
