Update! Did a factory reset and updated firmware, which was out of date and never updated. Battery percentage now showing! This was a fantastic purchase.I charged it fully and ran a test on our flights for the day. Over 7 hours worth of battery life. The only problem I have is that it won’t show what percentage is left on fore flight and the center power LED on the stratus is red all the time showing a low voltage state (almost out of charge) on the battery. But like I said 7+ hours of runtime and was still going. Charging it back up now and will re-run the test. I will try and do a factory reset on the stratus and see if I can get a percentage showing. If I don’t write another review, nothing changed.

The battery works as advertised. The voltage is as labeled. Be sure and do a hard reset after installing it

Utilized this battery to replace my Appareo Stratus 2 battery that was 5+ years old and not holding a charge. $40.00 vs. $150.00 of replaced with OEM part. This is the battery only rather than the Stratus 2 case back, small cooling fan and battery that is included with the ORM part. Very easy replacement: Simply remove the four Allen head screws from the case back (peel back top of sticker to access top screws), use a small common blade screwdriver to pry off the clear plastic shield inside the case back, pry out the flat battery pack (it is held rather firmly by two strips of double-back tape, unclip the small micro connector which connects the battery to the device, attach the new battery's micro connector to the device, adhere battery to back of device with double back tape, replace plastic shield, replace back of device and secure with the 4 screws. 15 mins of work and you have saved $110.00!

A friend lent me his older Stratus 2S for a 1700 mi. XC. I wanted to thank him, so I bought him this replacement battery. So far as I know, the replacement will work fine. Any issues, I will update here.

My initial test was disappointing - only about 1.5 hours. I then did a factory reset of the Stratus unit before fully recharging the battery. After 7+ hours on, it still had 14% left.

Installed this battery instead of paying $150 for a battery pre installed in a new back. Charged up and works great
