  • 1/4" Thick Spout Spacer - The tub spout escutcheon is 1/4" thick and cannot be used for over 1/4" gaps. We are also designing other thickness bathtub faucet plates and hope to bring them into the market soon. The 1/4" is designed to provide a decorative look as well as a water blocking function to our modern bathroom. The tub spout gasket can only be used for gaps no more than 1/4". Kindly do a measurement of the existing spout and wall distance to find the distance first.
  • Fix Leaking - The spout flange is used to fix the leaking problem for the bathtub spout. A spout can be leaking inside and the water will run back to the wall. The hole in the wall will cause water to run through it and result in corrosion. This cover ring does double duty, giving my tub faucet a more elegant finished look and filling in the space for a spout that was just a touch long. Incidentally, it's a perfect fit for both the Eljer spout that I had on the tub for many years and the Kohler spout that I recently upgraded to. I did have to enlarge the hole in the backing plate because my spout had a joining collar to fit over, probably an unusual situation.

My somewhat standard and brand new Delta Spout would not easily seat, the spout measures 2 5/8'' at the base ie. about 1/16 inch to wide to make a good fit. - and the item is truly specked out for a 2.5 inch head. The item is attractive and well made, just not very compatible with my Delta Spout. (Measure carefully) .
