I have contacted Delta twice, because we need a set screw so the handle doesn't spin. I have received no answer. Tried to get one at Lowes, they do not have one for that handle. I am waiting for Delta to respond, or I will have to return it.

Handle length is shorter than the original but it works just fine. I guess they made one size fits all for sinks and shower faucets.

We got this and the recommended conversion ball to change out the 90s crystal looking knob that moves up and down to turn on/off and rotates to change water temp (I think it's referred to as the Series 600). This lever works perfectly and looks SO much better! The only thing is that the hot and cold directions are now reversed; not sure how to change that, but it's fine because it's a better looking shower faucet handle. We're buying two more to change out our other two shower faucets.

Exactly what I needed! My rental unit came with a hideous, filthy plastic crystal knob that was not installed properly and would fall off and hit my feet all the time and take the temp from freezing to boiled without much in between. I needed a solution that wasn't expensive because it's a rental unit and if the landlord doesn't care about it, why should I. But, I need to stop having my feet smashed so I found this one and thought it would be suitable. It's awesome! It takes 1/8 size Allen key, which made it fit nice and snug. It's smooth, sturdy and really helps the abrupt change in temperature. Still a bit touchy but I blame the ancient plumbing

Was a little nervous about ordering this online as I didn't know the model number of my old Delta faucet. Looked like a match, and it was. Fit perfectly, one hex screw and you're done.

I purchased this handle to replace a Peerless round acrylic shower handle. The customer support technician for Peerless said this will fit an an older Peerless handle, but I won’t know if it’s compatible with the ball rod. The handle is well made, attractive, and well priced.Update: Yesterday, I could not install this new handle because the ball stem of the faucet was diamond shaped (see 3rd photo). Although the new handle has a round hole that will work with certain ball stems, I was unable to remove the bonnet nut in order to replace the ball. I plan to return to the job and heat up the bonnet nut so it can be removed, but the bonnet nut will no longer be usable.

Much shorter than the original part it purports to be an identical replacement for (over 2" shorter than the original handle). However the base did fit and install perfectly so as long as you don't mind changing the look of your faucet it is a viable repair part.I would wager the redesign was to address the premature failures of the original handles (which were significantly longer and heavier so wore the base out from leveraged use).

These and the ball that goes along with it allow you to replace the Delta crystal handle with a lever. We like the look and operation of the lever better, and redid all our sinks. It is easy to set the water temperature without turning the light on at night. It isn't perfect, though. It can twist side to side (along the handle axis), which can get it stuck in odd temperature settings. Shutting it off straight down gets it centered to fix it. For our faucets (early 1990's era Deltas), I kept the old insert (cam assembly) with the straight rectangular channel as it worked better than the one they suggest. Shutting it off all the way was still an issue until I ground the fin on the down side of the stem off (leave the other side).

Prior to ordering, I called the designated purchasing Outlet Store to check that my order would reflect the "right" Delta Shower Faucet replacement handle. The representative had me go to shower and check orientation of Delta shower faceplate screws (which were installed at ~ placement of 5 and 7 o'clock). With that info and their company data, they recommended that I purchase the Delta shower handle with number RP17443. This was to fit directly onto the valve stem from which the old Delta clear ball was attached. This was WRONG Information! The handle arrived and I discovered that the handle Would NOT Fit the valve stem, and that a new conversion ball valve would be required. I complained to company and then forwarded info to Amazon. I wanted an exchange for a handle that would fit the existing valve stem. No Response Came! Then Amazon got involved, and I subsequently got some advice on return, but nothing for correct replacement onto the existing valve-stem. Then time moved forward and I ordered the "matching ball-stem and cam" for the Delta handle. I am awaiting receipt of these items and hope they work. This is a case where the Delta item being described and recommended is Not Right. BEWARE BEWARE

I believe the picture of the item is incorrect. The picture above looks more like the Delta H79 shower handle. The RP17443 lever is slanted to the handle base, and it attaches to a round Delta ball shaft, as in a lavatory sink. The picture above shows the lever at a right angle to the handle base - which is similar, or indeed is, the Delta Classic shower handle, which attaches to a differently-shaped shaft.

I had an old sink handle and shower handle that were the ugly and dated "crystal knob" Delta style. They were not only ugly but also difficult to adjust to the proper temperature and flow.I found instructions on Delta's website for replacing the crystal knob with a single lever. [...] It required this part because the crystal knob fits onto a diamond-shaped stem, but the lever fits onto a circular-shaped stem.I only swapped out the conversion ball itself. The Delta instructions suggested swapping out the adjustment ring, cam, and packing as well, but I didn't have those parts and thought I'd give it a try. The sink replacement took a couple tries to get ball in the right place, but now it works perfectly. The shower I got on the first try. These handles are so much nicer than the old crystal knob. I'm very happy with this replacement.
