after a rat go into my shed and chewed on the seat of my Zero turn mower that cost me a lot to replace, i knew i needed something to deter them from. Hanging out in my shed. This alarm is very loud and it picks up the movement of very small things as long as its in the line of sight. Our shed is about 80’ from the house and there are times that i can hear the alarm going off. I can say that i have not had anymore pests destroying expensive equipment since this was installed.

This small alarm is inexpensive and quite functional. It is easy to turn on/off with the fob and makes a good noise if activated. Does not attach to WiFi/phone but just wanted the sound. If you are away for an extended period you probably turn off your WiFi anyway making other functions useless. Just the sound is enough to deter anyone from spending time inside if they manage entrance.

JUNK returned the first one only to have the second one work half the time even after trying different batteries . Worked on this POS for an hour to try to get it to work no luck .

Unfortunately, device does not trigger on small animals like racoons at distance like few meters.It is useless for detection of small animals.

It's ok. I do wish it had a wider range. We have special needs cats who started using a particular part of the basement to pee. I have to put it right in front of each spot for several days at a time, then move it. They're all within 10 ft of each other but the detection range isn't as stated.

This is a nice alarm sensor kit everyone should have. This can be used in your house, outside your house, on a camping trip, or wherever you want to setup a motion trip alarm. It is easy to set up and comes with a nice instruction sheet. It works well within about 30 feet between to the sensor and the home unit. I use AAA battery option rather than the USB. The remote fob comes with a CR2932 battery. The mid-volume level seems to suffice for most situations. This top level is pretty loud. The keyfob makes it easy to disarm. The setup can be a bit frustrating because the two units have to be aligned and level. So you have to be creative in putting these in if you don't have a nice level place to put them. There is a delay as well to give you time to turn off the alarm when you trip it. After motion trips you can set it for 5, 10, or 15 seconds. It stays on for 30 seconds and also gives you 30 seconds to leave after you set it.

I'm using this in my backyard garden shed that is not connected to AC power. I am powering this via a USB adapter to my small solar panel/battery, which also powers an LED light for the shed.Overall, this is a very simple to set up, quite functional, and LOUD little alarm system.The motion detection triggers reliably. So far no false alarms.I'm not sure how long this alarm will run on a set of AAA batteries, as the instruction pamphlet doesn't give any current draw specs, but they warn batteries may not last very long. I have no reason to doubt that. And since I'm installing mine permanently inside my shed and have a little DC power available, I'm not going to bother with AAA batteries and just power it off a USB adapter.The remote has a good range and I can easily hear the alarm give a beep inside the shed to indicate it has been successfully armed or disarmed.My only gripe, and why I'm not giving this item a full five stars, is that a tiny screw which should have been included for the flexible mounting bracket was missing. Luckily I happen to have a small container of tiny screws I salvaged over the years, and happened to have one that fit. I'll bet most people won't get that lucky, though. It's a minor issue, but annoying nonetheless.Overall, though, this will be a perfect little alarm for my shed.
