Heated up quickly, used it on a plastic mower hood which often get damaged or broken when doing lawn mowing. I used some of the screen material; cut to overlap and match the cracks. I set reinforcement on hood and set it place to melt it into the plastic. Kit worked really well.

Stopped working after plugging in for the first time. I installed the tip into the welder, plugged it into a standard outlet, then sat it on the holder so it could warm up. After a couple of minutes there was a loud pop and smoke started coming out of the welder. Unplugged it immediately to let it cool down. Wouldn't power on again after that. Didn't even get to use it once.It comes with a lot of accessories and it's really cheap, which is why i bought it, but now I understand why it's priced so low. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this. Definitely spending a little more and finding a better quality welder next time.

Soldering iron heated up and worked for about 6 min then quit..won't heat up anymore and no power at light

Fast heat up lots of plastic sticks. Would love to have better instructions on how to use. But made it work on fuel tote and fixed chain saw saw cover. Saved $350 so far

More plastic and variety than I expected along with plenty of metal mesh. I bought 0000 steel wool to act as rebar after watching a video. Tool worked great for about 45 min till the on/off button broke internally. Instead of sending back I decide to try to fix it and it was pretty easy to pop out the button and solder a short wire across circuit board where the button switch was. Now it works well just always on while plugged in. Easy enough to unplug it to turn it off.

This kit is pretty complete but a storage case would have been nice but a good buy for the money
