I have not done any actual repairs yet. I am still practicing and learning the different types of staples and exactly what they are used for. This comes in a very durable storage case. It is easy enough to use. I may be a little overly cautious with my practice. But the item I need to repair is buried under the snow at the moment so it will be a few months before I get to it. This plastic repair tool is easy to use, it heats quickly and does exactly what it says. At $19.99 (at the time of this review) it is a great value for the money.

This plastic welder is a great value for the money. It works quickly and easily, gets hot so fast, and has multiple types of staples to use depending on the type of plastic and shape of crack you want to repair. It only took me three or four staples before I understood the process and got pretty proficient at sinking staples the proper depth into the plastic without pushing through it to the other side. The repairs, when finished properly, will undoubtedly be durable and long lasting. There were a few downsides to this item that keep it from being five stars, but it's mostly because I didn't understand what goes into welding plastic. This kit makes the original and strongest part of the repair. However, to finish the repair, the staple ends must be trimmed, and usually plastic is then melted and contoured over the repair to keep the staples from backing out. This kit does not come with plastic rods or an iron with the proper tips to finish the repair. It would have been nice to have the option to get a kit with these items, as well as flush cutters to nip off the ends of the staples that stick out of the plastic. These items are readily available however, and this plastic welder and staples are priced much lower than kits containing all of these items. I'll pick them up separately and have a complete plastic repair kit.

This worked great on a cracked bumper. It comes in a nice case to keep it organized. I love that. I’ve never used one before so I can’t compare it but it worked exactly how I expected it to. Nice price too.

It takes some patience but take the time to learn it and this plastic sticher will work very well for almost any plastic repair. These have come a long way from the very first ones that were impossible to use these newer ones seem to do a little better with the heat regulation.

This 220W Plastic Welder Kit, it’s next level! This thing heats up instantly and bonds plastic pieces together like it’s nothing. I’ve seen so many videos saying it’s the quickest and easiest way to fix plastic stuff, and I’m totally with them. It comes with 2000 staples like, 500 of each kind, so you’re covered for any repair job you need for a minute. And it all comes in this custom carry case.It works with all kinds of plastics PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, all that. What I love is how easy it is to use. The grip is comfy, and the control is simple, so even if you’re a newbie, you can get the hang of it fast. The thing’s built like a tank, so I know it’s gonna last. And instead of throwing away broken plastic stuff, I fix it up for way cheaper, so it’s a total money-saver. Honestly, if you’re looking to get into plastic repair or need a solid tool for quick fixes, this kit’s definitely worth it!

I didn't have this tool yet and was joining some ABS plastic body panels on my vehicle that was damaged when I backed into a dumpster. I had fixed the worst part by using a staple gun to start the staples in the plastic, heating them with a cigarette lighter and pushing them into the plastic to join the crack/split in the plastic. It looked awful - even though I have body filler to hide my terrible work, I waited to get this hot staple welder - and was glad I did! There are 4 big bags of the 'wavy staples' included that fit the iron perfectly and ARE SO EASY TO USE that I just about cried. You don't even have to try very hard to get a very good bond with this kit! The wire (when heated) just sinks right into the plastic...release the trigger & hold steady for a moment and then pull the gun off of the staple. Just like that. The wire is easy to trim off with flush cutters and blends out easily with a DA sander. After I get this bumper primed and painted...know one will know it was damaged. This kit is what you need to stitch plastic together - do not doubt how much you'll get done and how easy it is to use. I'm excited about how good everything turned out. This is an awesome device that is worth twice what they ask for it. It's an incredibly good value and a fantastically useful tool!

I used 8 stapes of two different shapes to repair a three-inch crack in the lid of a ten year old toolbox. The good news: The lid is now repaired, far better than any glue, solvent cement or epoxy could have done. Metal staples span across the crack, ensuring that the crack doesn't spread. See the photos accompanying this review. The bad news: The video in the product description shows the staple legs snapping off easily. Completely untrue! The only way to remove the legs is to use a flush cutter, and even then you will likely end up with very short sharp points sticking out. Again, see my photos. I may grind these off with a Dremel tool, but that's not what the product promised. Also the instruction sheet provides little guidance.I almost gave this two stars for fraud, but it does solve a problem for many people. Buyer beware!
