This rice cooker is fabulous. Intuitive and simple to use and makes excellent rice. I was nervous about the price, but wow, this thing is great.

I got this one specifically because I thought it was the singing rice cooker, but still a great purchase.Very user friendly and comes with so many options.I wish there was an option to reheat rice. It will keep it warm, but if you wanted to reheat rice after it was cold there isn't an option.I like how it comes with little handles to put back in and take out without burning my hands

This is the first rice cooker that I have ever owned. I was hoping it would save me a little time and effort. I was happy to find that it definitely does both of those things. What I didn't expect was that the rice would be so good!

I’ve made several different dishes with the settings. It cooks very quickly and the clean up is easy. There’s a removable inner disc that you can rinse off/hand wash. Has lots of features and looks attractive. Came with two plastic spoon/spatula

I very much like this rice cooker and that there are not any aluminum parts in the cooking areas. Everything is very easy to clean by hand washing. I wish the cord was about 8 inches or so longer as while cooking steam comes out of the steam port which can damage my upper cabinets if I forget to turn the cooker with the steam port on the farthest edge of my counter which is a bit dangerous having it so close to the edge. The cooking pot having handles for easy removal is a plus. I haven’t used the steamer basket yet but it’s nice that one is included. The users manual that came with the rice cooker is awesome and very detailed including a few recipes. So far I have made long grain rice daily since it arrived and steel cut oatmeal in the cooker. I had to adjust the amount of water a bit to obtain the desired consistency. The rice cooker arrived as expected. There was a slight issue with the arrival definitely not the sellers fault. The deliver person didn’t walk to our front door initially. She parked in the driveway and we caught her just as she was preparing to throw the parcel containing the cooker over the driveway gate onto the concrete driveway. We got her attention and requested she bring it to our front porch and door per our written instructions. She obeyed. On unpacking there was minimal packing around the rice cooker to prevent damage as could happen with a parcel thrown over a gate onto concrete.

Major fumes upon first half dozen uses...I was in the opposite corner of the house when the fumes were overwhelming. I had the kitchen exhaust fan already on and an opposite kitchen window already open and still really stinky during first several uses. This has reduced the more I cook with it and leave it open. White long grain rice is absolutely fine on visual inspection...dumped all rice cooked so far due to fumes. Purchased for wild rice and that the bowl is supposed to be easier to maintain...haven't cooked that yet it's too expensive to dump...not that the white rice was cheap either. I did make a blueberry muffin cake that was very nice and got gobbled promptly. The texture was muffin-y on the inside; when cooked longer uniquely crunchy on the bottom (no burnt appearance or taste, no clean up whatsoever...worth trying for a pie crust type item) and moist on top like a yellow cake out of the oven before icing, but not a muffin top, of course. Blueberry muffins are much faster in an oven, especially, convection...if you don't have either of those...this rice cooker muffin cake is nice. I did not use the Greedy Panda recipe but my own adding some oil in place of some butter. Soaped up and rinsed the bowl...no major clean up. The bowl only smells due to it's proximity to the plastic appliance housing...which is what seems to have fumes heated or not. I used my own flexible silicon utensils (not the hard plastic included), however, everything falls right out of the bowl even the muffin cake. I eliminated a star because of the fumes out of the package and the wasted food. I really like that the top of the rice cooker does not get hot during cooking. The spring on the lid hinge is so strong, though, the entire rice cooker hops on the counter fast so hang on and have adequate clearance above and behind so it doesn't bang into cabinets or fly. I did read the measurements before buying and this is larger than expected. I did not care for the Instant Pot, because it had fumes too and I'd be standing on my tip toes or on a stool to see inside the Instant Pot while cooking....but this is much easier for a shorter person to see inside...our island is up high on casters so a bit higher than the usual counter height and the Instant Pot is tall...can't do everything with the Sakura that can be done with the Instant Pot. Otherwise, looking forward to more cooking with the Sakura.
