Love it. Makes my rice without burning it or making a starchy mess (even though I rinse), which could be a challenge with the simpler rice cookers (which is too bad, as I love their simple, clever design). Thoughtful engineering all around—even the rice cup and scoop are nicely designed.Don't know for sure, but the interior bowl seems to be a non-teflon nonstick coating (ceramic maybe?). Seems to work well.

This rice cooker is surprisingly larger than it appears, but it looks great on the counter! It consistently produces perfect white and brown rice, though it does take about 50 minutes to cook, so plan accordingly. Cleanup is a breeze since the pot is dishwasher safe, although it's easy enough to hand clean too. Plus, the top of the lid is removable for even easier cleaning! Another thing I love about the pot is that it has liquid measurement lines for a variety of different grains, not just rice. It also comes with a handy measuring cup and steaming basket, which is a great bonus! The included recipe book and cooking instructions are very helpful, with tips for cooking different types of rice and other foods. And I have to say, the included rice scraper is the best I've ever used! I love how versatile it is! Overall, I highly recommend this rice cooker.

Bought this to replace my old Tefal multicooker which happens to still be alive and well but doesn't have a sear function. This unit has one and it works brilliantly. I've had it four days and I've used the sear, steam and soup functions so far and all have been excellent. Cheats tip for spaghetti in 12 mins: Add desired amount of linguine to pot, add salt and a dash of oil (which prevents foaming). Add 1250 ml of boiling water to the pot push softening pasta under the water, close lid and set it to steam for 12 mins. Give it a stir after 6 mins. The entire cooking time inc preheat is approx 15 mins and delivers perfectly cooked linguine. Drop cook time to 11 mins for spaghetti.

As a professional chef, I’ve always prided myself on my skills in the kitchen—except when it comes to rice. Even though most chefs find rice preparation second nature, it’s often the one thing I screw up the most. Whether it’s getting the right texture or managing the timing, rice has always been a tricky spot for me. For years, I avoided getting a rice cooker, thinking it would be a bit of a cheat or that I should be able to do it the old-fashioned way. But after too many failed rice attempts, I finally broke through the shame and decided to give a rice cooker a shot. The fuzzy logic feature is what sold me. It takes all the guesswork out of rice preparation, automatically adjusting the cooking process based on the type of rice I’m making. It’s foolproof. I simply add the rice and water, hit the right setting, and walk away. I pick how firm I want the fire to be, & The rice comes out perfectly cooked every single time—fluffy, tender, and without any of the common rice pitfalls I used to deal with. It’s a relief to know I’m finally making consistently great rice without the constant monitoring. One of my favorite features is the keep-warm function, which keeps the rice at the perfect temperature for up to 24 hours. No more worrying about reheating or having to rush to eat. It stays soft and fresh, just like it was right out of the cooker. This is especially great when I cook a big batch for meal prep or serve it at dinner parties. The best part? The COSORI Rice Cooker delivers high-end performance at a low-end price. It’s far more affordable than many other rice cookers, but it performs just as well (if not better) than pricier models. I no longer need to feel guilty about using a rice cooker, because it saves me time and delivers perfect results with minimal effort. If you’ve been avoiding a rice cooker like I did, thinking it’s not necessary, I highly recommend you break through that mindset and give the COSORI Rice Cooker a try. It’s easy to use, reliable, and consistently makes great rice. Finally, I can say I’m proud of my rice—without all the stress.

I have been hesitant to buy a rice cooker for a while because I don't eat rice that much and find it easy enough to cook on the stovetop. But we've been eating a bit more rice lately and I also find myself frequently overcooking my morning oatmeal. When i realized that rice cookers can also make oatmeal, I figured it was worth a try and went to target and bought a cheap one.Well it did a pretty solid job on oatmeal to be honest, better than the results I get in a pot, consistently perfectly cooked (I use thick cut old fashioned rolled oats). However, it didn't do so great with rice. I mean it was ok, but the rice on the bottom seems to get overcooked and a little "crispy" in spots and the warming function will just dry it out more. Not wanting to spend hundreds on the fancy japanese ones I bought this for $85 to give it a try. And I did a side by side batch of the same rice in each machine, and this one wins easily. All the rice was perfectly cooked and tender, no crunch spots on the bottom, just perfectly soft and cooked throughout. And I swear, the rice tastes better. It is almost a little sweeter with a nicer flavor. I suspect that comes from the long slow cook time which might convert more starch to sugar. As a bonus, this machine is easier to clean up because you don't get starchy water bubbling up all over the lid.Overall, very pleased and I look forward to some of the other options like slow cooking for bone broth. It is probably a bit larger than we need for a small family, but not so huge as to be unwieldy. My only gripe is no "off" button so you either have to unplug it or wait for the keep warm cycle to run out.
