I ordered a 1.2L and received a 0.6L model. The water splashed out of the steam valve in the lid. I returned it. It also came from the US which was not clear when I purchased it in Belgium. Cost me a lot to send it back 👎

Having heard great things about rice cookers in general and thinking that this is a simple kitchen appliance, I had high hopes for this one. Don't buy this one. The instruction manual is online and it is so poorly written, it will have you wasting time and doing way more mental math than should ever be necessary when cooking RICE! "One rice cup" is actually 3/4 cup, and that's all the unit will cook at one time. You just need that info (which is bad: one cup is always 1 cup; there is no such thing as a "rice cup" in a well though-out rice cooker design) and the ratio of grain to water for each type of grain. I will use the standard ratios and move forward. My first attempt was with brown rice, which eventually cooked fine, but boiled the entire cooking time, actually boiling over and blowing out so much steam, I had to move the unit. It needed a lot of attention. The white rice cooked well. I stopped there. Not sure if I'm going back; the stove is easier at this point.

I love that there aren't any plastic elements that come into contact with the food while it's cooking. I also love the convenience of throwing the lid on top and placing the stainless bowl directly in the refrigerator when we have leftovers. The rice always comes out great and it's perfect for our two-person dinners. The ease of use, stainless and glass construction, and general convenience definitely make the expense worth it for me. I guess I should note that the only hiccup I've experienced is on a couple of occasions when the boiling water overflowed through the vent hole in the lid. Draping a paper towel over the vent was all it took to prevent it from splattering everywhere.

This Rice Cooker is perfect for one or more (I have made enough for 6 people at ounce). This set not only allows for steaming rice but a steaming basket and serving utensil is included. This product allows for quick and easy meal preperation. I place my rice in the cooker, add my fish and vegetables in the steamer basket. Just like that, my entire meal is ready in a short time.I love this Rice Cooker so much that I purchased one for my parents. This makes for easy meal preperation for us all and easy cleanup.I prefer to hand wash my cooker, steamer basket and lid. I do place the serving utensil in the dishasher.

I tried to return as soon as i got it because the sockets were incompatible. They didn't pick it up nor refunded.I bought then and adapter just to learn that it's a stupid 110 volts appliance. It's ruined now and a complete waste of money.

Finally got rid of my old teflon coated rice cooker and purchased this beauty! Have used twice so far - steamed broccoli in the basket while the rice cooked - was delicious and the broccoli was still crisp!

This rice cooker is a work horse and easy to use. Used and abused by our family for over 2 years and no signs of wear. We have zero complaints and only praise. Whether long grain, jasmine or short grain calrose sticky rice, our rice is always perfect. Even when we add almond and raisins or pistachio nuts and onions, as long as our rice water ratio follows the guidelines it comes out texture and flavor perfect. The streamer is super useful for buns and dumplings. The best part is gorgeous heavy duty stainless and glass lid. The stranger is also stainless. Never had a problem with burning it sticking. Easy clean up. No toxic chemicals or plastics in my food. We love that.Great price. Lower watts for running off solar.

i have been looking for stainless steel inner pot rice cooker for long time. This one is good size, good value, simple operation.Stainless steel can not be non stick then, but it is acceptable for low sticky pot.Yes the vent on the cover is little too big.

All stainless steel where it touches food. It take a bit longer than I like to heat up to simmer, but food steams quickly and cleanup is very easy. Fits into the dishwasher nicely.

Perfectly cooked rice, and it doesn't take long at all. It does stick to the bottom just a little, but that's better than having teflon flake off into the food. The stainless steel is really nice.

I'm finally upgrading my various cookers to cook with stainless steel inner pots instead of non-stick pots.Today I used this rice cooker for the very first time. When first opening the package, I immediately noticed a couple of things. First, the looks like a quality cooker. Second, the cooker is smaller than I'm used to. It is only a 1.2 quart cooker whereas I'm used to 3 quart. But actually, the small size is perfect for one person. For dinner, I made 1 cup (before cooked) of brown rice. I also used the included stainless steel steam basket to steam some sardines, smoked oysters and a tomato. For the rice, I added 1 cup rice, 1 1/2 cup water and about a tablespoon of olive oil to prevent the rice from sticking to each other.Overall, I am impressed with the results. I didn't time how long it took to cook the rice but I say about 30-40 minutes. Upon uncovering, the rice looked great. They didn't stick to each other. However, the very bottom did have rice that was overcooked and stuck to the inner pot bottom. The steamed food was fine in temperature and taste. As for cleaning, I think having stainless steel help. I do have to soak the rice that sticks to the pot overnight. By morning, I expect them to easily come off. The stain steel basket was easy to clean with just liquid soap and water even though it got a little oily with the sardines and smoked oysters. As I mentioned, the inner pot is small. With just 1 cup of brown rice, the rice almost filled the pot. I figure if I was cooking white rice, that might even rise more and fill the pot. I haven't tried with white rice. Here is what I like and dislike of this rice cooker:Likes:-------- made of good material and seems durable- stainless steel safer and no worry about non-stick coating anymore- small size perfect for 1 personDislikes:----------- rice did stick to bottom of pot even after I added some olive oil to rice (but should clean off easily after soaked)I give the Aroma Housewares 1.2 QT stainless steel rice cooker 5 stars.
