1, How to reset the remote:
- STEP 1, remove the battery from remote.
- STEP 2, press any key in remote some times to discharge the residual power in the remote. Once the indicator in remote will not light on when you press any keys, it means the residual power is clear.
- STEP 3, waite 10 to 20 minutes, re-install the battery, and try to control your fan again.
2, How to repair the remote and receiver?
- STEP 1: Power on the fan which you want to repair. (The receiver should be installed in this fan, and keep other receivers in your house power off, only one receiver power on).
- STEP 2: Push and hold 'stop'+ '8H' buttons at same time until the indicator in remote goes off.
- STEP 3: Push 'light on/off' button quickly several times in order to write the signal into the receiver.
- STEP 4: Re-program finished, and you can see the light will be turned on /off by the remote.
- STEP 5: Repeat step 1 to 4, if re-program failed.
- Please let the remote close to receiver, and do not move the distance when you re-program the kit.
- NOTE: The re-pair steps should be finished in 60 seconds after the receiver powered on.

Relatively inexpensive. It's a pain in the neck to install by yourself and it just *barely* fits inside the fan housing. The receiver is rectangular and NO fan housing that I've ever seen is rectangular. These need to be manufactured with a semi-circular board and case.Replacing the batteries in the remote is also annoying. When batteries die, you can't just pop in fresh batteries. You have to remove the old batteries, press the buttons a few times and hope residual power is used up. Then wait a little while longer before putting in new batteries.Something I really don't like: When power goes out (e.g., during a storm or other unplanned power failure) and then comes back on, the light turns on automatically. This is NOT good because I use these on a house that is not occupied all the time. It's not feasible to turn breakers off to prevent this.Overall, it's decent and works okay, with the exceptions noted above. Would I buy again? Maybe.

Instructions are clear and easy to follow. One of the 2 kits weren’t working, got in touch with the seller and they were more than happy to send a replacement. My son is so happy that he can control his ceiling fan with a touch of a button. 10/10 would recommend!

This little remote is super easy to wire up. There is a black and a white wire coming from one end of the receiver to connect to the ceiling's wires, (and in this old house we only have two wires coming from the ceiling). Then the other end of the receiver has the wires that connect to the ceiling fan and they are color coded to match perfectly, so no thinking or guessing is involved.The only thing is, the receiver does not fit between the bracket attached to the ceiling, and the other bracket that holds the ceiling fan, but it's easy to secure it by threading a long plastic tie through there and snugging it up against the brackets... then the motor housing easily slides over all, making it a good fit. Just leave the yellow antenna wire peeking out the top of the housing.One thing to remember.... the pull chains for the light must be pulled to the on position, and the fan pull chain must be pulled three times to put it in the fastest position, in order for the remote to control them. I forgot about the fan's pull chain and nearly took the entire thing apart thinking the wiring somewhere must have come loose when I shoved it all up in the brackets, as the remote would only control the light, not the fan.... NOPE... just forgot to pull the chain for the fan!And make sure your wall switch is turned on -And you cannot use a dimmer wall switch with some fans. Like the model I got. A dimmer switch will make the fan hum loudly. I had to install a regular light switch and then it worked perfectly and is completely silent.And on that note, this remote does not include a dimmer feature. The light is either on or off. That's fine with me because if I want low light I don't use the ceiling light anyway.

The good: I bought and installed this remote control, and it worked as it was supposed to. Installation was simple although I had to use couple of zip ties to position the receiver inside the fan canopy. The remote was easy to use and the design is intuitive. I didn't try the timer function, which is something I doubt I would ever use.The bad: After I installed and tested the remote I noticed that the fan was not hanging level, which was due to the fan bracket and the electrical box, and had nothing to do with the remote. So I opened up the fan again to adjust the way it hung. Since I wasn't going to be working with the wiring I didn't turn off the breaker (bad decision). When I repositioned the antenna wire it arced to ground (the fan mounting bracket) just as another reviewer described. The end of the antenna wire is folded over and covered with what appears to be a small piece of heat shrink, which is not adequate to insulate it. So, I, too, suggest adding an additional piece of heat shrink over the antenna wire, or at least the last inch or so. I ordered a replacement, and that will be the first thing I do when I take it out of the box.

Súper bien su funcionamiento con abanico Hampton bay y a un excelente precio.Actualizo referencia. Dejó de funcionar en noviembre, iba muy bien, pero algo falló no se si fue el control o algún sensor que va en el abanico. Pero por el precio tal vez pida otro o uno similar, los originales de la marca salen carísimos.

So the house we bought has a very nice ceiling fan light combo. But there was no way to turn on the fan, just the light. Opened up the cowl at the top to see if there was an existing control but no. So this looked like it would work and was less expensive than a brand new remote control ceiling fan (although I really liked the tropical palm fans).Another discovery I made was the ceiling fan had two levels of bulbs including 4 hidden above the fan. Those never turned on. So installed the control. Hot and neutral on the input. Output has separate wires for fan and lights and neutral and an antenna to receive the RF control signal. So the color of the wires on the ceiling fan actually matched the color code on the control box. How rare is that? But there was a yellow wire from the fan left over which I traced to the top hidden bulbs with an ohmmeter. OK so connected the two sets of lights together and powered it up. All ok. Lights turn on right away when you turn on the wall switch. Think of that as your master control. You leave the room and you can turn off the lights and fan both. The control remote has separate buttons for the light (not dimmable) and the fan (3 speeds). It also has a timer you can set for 1 to 8 hours but I'm not sure how you would use that function. I only want to have light and be cool for X hours then darkness and no fan? IDK. The antenna needs to stick out beyond the metal cowl or it wont receive the signal from the RF remote. I didn.t like the yellow color against the ceiling so I trimmed it and added about 8 inches to match the color of the ceiling. Now its unnoticeable. They were smart and capped off the antenna with a little blob of plastic so you dont try to hook it up to an AC line (very tempting as I had an extra yellow wire and the antenna was yellow but I resisted that temptation. All works, I have LED bulbs on the way to replace the 240 watts of incandescent bulbs it had and its happy camper time.

Había comprado otro mas barato que no me funciono.Pero este es buen producto. Funcionó a la primera. Manual adecuado y llega con todo lo descrito. El control ya está enlazado al receptor solo conectar el receptor, baterías al control y listo.El cable de alimentación es el que da energía a la luz.
