Cutting depth is 1/2". To achieve the best finish on a corner joint use stock with a thickness less than 1/2". Once assembled the protruding tongues should be sanded flush with the box sides. 1/2" Shank & 5/64" thick carbide.

Have yet to use this product, but it looks a lot better than the one I burned up. My fault, took too deep a cut. But after looking at the bit, I could tell it was not made of good material. Most likely would not have taken to using hard woods. Burned it up in soft pine. As the saying goes, caveat emptor.
