Since it was broken during the first use, the seller said that if I bought a new one, he would refund my money when it was shipped. When the product was shipped, my money was refunded. However, I never received the package. The seller does this knowingly. They refund the money and increase your score, but you never receive that package. They make you think they are happy with your money, but they don't actually do anything. Definitely stay away!

The router bit set come in a nice display case with a window so you can select the right bit. There are many different shapes to select and they went into my router correctly. Feel well made and sturdy

Fine bits, especially for the price. Small problem; the case doesn't hold the bits properly with the cheap plastic tray. Oh, well.

I put about half of this set through their paces while building a chicken plucker, both on wood and various types of plastic. I’d say they’ve already paid for themselves and there is plenty of life left in them. The blades are sharp enough to cleanly cut old, weathered plywood with the grain lifting and separating, leaving sharp shoulders and minimal tear out. The bearings also did a good job, rolling smoothly without overheating. Even if you’re an experienced woodworker, your bits have to dull sometime, and these make a perfectly acceptable replacement. The case and bit holder aren’t great, and the bits need a bit of babysitting to ensure they stay in their place, but at least they have a case. Even if you’re on the fence about getting these bits, go ahead and order them, you’ll get your money’s worth and more.

This set of 1/2" shank router bits is a fairly nice set with a good variety of cuts to suit a lot of my home DIY woodworking projects or for anyone beginning learning about routing. The carbides are nicely set and sharp. The cutting depth is pretty standard - 1/8" to 1/2" - so they're not too aggressive and can be used with almost any router that can take a 1/2" shank bit.I liked that the bits came in a well organized case with individual spaces for each bit. I also liked that the bits were well preserved with paint and a waxy coating to prevent corrosion while in storage. The reason I took off 2 stars is because of 2 reasons. 1. the bearings on the 5 bits with bearings - the 1/2" flush trim, the cove, chamfer, round-over and ogee. The 1/2" flush bit has a larger 1/2" bearing that is slightly off-center in its mounting, which affected my cut slightly. The other bits used smaller 1/4" bearings of which 2 bearing casings were rather loose and had some deflection vertically on the mounting shaft. This did not affect my cut but at the high speeds the bits are rotating, I can see this deflection leading to bearing failure eventually. The second item I did not like is that the bearings on these bits are mounted with screws needing an Allen wrench, which was not provided in this kit. Interestingly, an Allen wrench is provided with the kit but it is of a size that is NOT used anywhere in this kit, on any of the bits! Why is this there but not the proper sized Allen wrench? Also included in the kit is a 3/8" spade bit for drilling out holes. This addition is appreciated but I would have appreciated it more if the manufacturer had paid more attention-to-detail about what Allen wrench should be included, properly mounting the bearings so there is no off-centered bearings and/or putting on better bearings without any vertical deflection.Overall, a decent set of bits for a beginner but I'm not sure it will stand up to prolonged use.

The bits come in a hard plastic storage case. It also includes an allen key and a 1/2" spade bit.The first thing I noticed was that all the bits fell out of its slots and bouncing around inside the case. This could have been avoided if the case had molded slots in the case vs using a cheap plastic liner as that would allow the bits to lock into place. It took me a while to figure out which bit goes with which slot as none of the bits are labelled and I had to figure it out based on the cut pattern in the photos and compare with the bits and size of slot.I’m not sure about the 1/2" spade bit as it’s a standard bit with a ¼” shank for a drill and not meant for a router. Plus, it’s not mentioned on the product description and there’s no slot for it in the case, so it just sits loosely.I measured all the shanks and they all measure 1/2” and accurate to +/- 0.002”. The cutting edges are fairly clean/sharp but did notice some chipping on a few so I’m not sure if that was from manufacturing or if it was damage when all the bits were bouncing around in the case.Overall, these are a good starter set of router bits for anyone getting into woodworking. It has a good variety of cuts/sizes, and the edges are fairly sharp/clean allowing easy cutting through the wood. I do wish the liner in the case was better so that all the bits wouldn’t have fallen out and banged against each other.

I gave this router bit set a five-star review with the following qualifications: The $25.99 price tag is aimed at beginners. There are some issues, but they are not worth reducing any star. Because this product is targeted at beginners, meaning those with limited experience, this bargain basement price is a great way to give beginners a taste of the router's benefits as a tool for finishing edges, mortising, coring, grooving, or making tongue and grove (T&G) cuts. This product can be ordered with a 1/4" or 1/2" shank. The storage case while minimal, is sturdier than I expected.I picked up the 1/2" shank for my large, table-mounted router primarily because most of my router bits are carbide-tipped, and these are tipped with YG8 tungsten and I want to compare the recognised benefits of tungsten vs carbide. Carbide and tungsten are alloys, and solid carbide must exceed HRC65 in hardness. Tungsten is a solid carbide with a hardness between 85 and 92 HRC, and tungsten is used in CNC router bits. YG8 tungsten has a specific hardness of 89.5 HRC. Be aware that increased hardness increases the ability of the metal to keep an edge longer, but makes the metal more brittle than softer metals. That is why softer High-Speed Steel (HSS) dulls more quickly but does not chip or fracture as easily as carbide or tungsten.Aside from the need for any cutting tool to be honed occasionally to keep the edge, the painted surface is designed to keep the bit cleaner to run cooler. The paint makes it harder for the resin in the wood to cling to the surface. As part of the tools' maintenance, I use a blade cleaning solution after I am finished using a blade or bit. You will find that there will be more resin on the tungsten that needs to be cleaned. As for the issues with the product. The product description includes a picture of an Allen key or hex wrench used to remove the guide bearing. My set did not contain an Allen key, but a 1/2" spade drill bit for mortising was substituted. There is a translation issue that may cause some confusion with beginners: "WIDELY APPLICATIONS: This tongue and groove (T&G) router bit set is truly versatile for your extra convenience. " T&G bits are sold as matched pairs, and a T&G pair is not included in this set. The straight bits in this set allow you to make tongue and grooves but with more effort than a dedicated set.Overall, this is a good price for a starter set that beginners can expand upon.

This is a good set of decent quality bits for someone who is new to working with routers. The selection allows you to experiment and really get a handle on which bit types are needed for the work you are doing or possibly inspire you to create work based on the capabilities of a certain bit type. The upside is that you now have an initial selection to work from and if you find yourself using the same 2 or three all the time you can replace them with higher quality while still having the others there in your kit waiting shoudl you need them in the future. It's a decent band-for-buck set of bits in any case.

This is a nice set of bits, however, I couldn't use them because the router I ordered at the same time didn't arrive until a week later. Bummer...
