I have multiple bits from Yonico and while they might not be an exact replacement for a Freud or Amana bit, for the price, I don't think they can be beat. Every bit or bit set I have gotten from them seems to be well made, have good quality carbide that is well sharpened. Compared to some of the other bits I've used, they seem to give me cleaner cuts with minimal burning if any. They fit my multiple different routers with simple collet swaps. Speed control can be very helpful with these though.

The bits solved my problem with undersized center panels in making kitchen cabinet doors. Cutting went smooth.

So the issue is for the bit that cuts the end of the rail and is supposed to leave a 5.2mm tongue. The cutter head offset is set the wrong way. Cutter head is set with the offset up and should be set with offset down, like the graphic show in the product description. You simply can not set the cutter close enough to the other cutter to leave a 5.2mm tongue. If you flip the cutter over to get the offset down, then the cutter is rotating the opposite direction. In short, its fabricated wrong.I can possibly correct this by trying to source a thinner bearing which would allow the gap between the two cutters to be less, and shim accordingly to get a 5.2mm tongue, but that is a lot of work I should not have to do.I don't doubt that others have not had a problem with this product, and maybe I got one from a bad batch. Will have to contact the seller and see what they can do to correct this.UpdateSo today i set it up to take measurements of tongue width it would cut and contact the manufacturer. When i first wrote the review, it would not cut a tongue narrower than 5.8mm. Now today with all but one shim removed (must keep the shim between the bearing and this cutter for bearing to spin) and it's cutting a tongue of 5.2(+)mm. I ran some test pieces of the rail ends and styles and fit was tight. The plywood also fit the groove snug. Why it didnt cut the tongue to 5.2mm before i dont know, maybe there was an extra shim i did not see.Its at the very limit of possible adjustment, but it does work i wish it would cut the tongue just a bit narrower, but a touch of final dressing with sandpaper and it fits good.

Great value! Compare to other name brand router bits, these are less than a quarter the price of others. Yes, maybe not as long lasting but, very accurate. I plan to make a dozen small doors and these will save me a fortune over buying them pre built. I have made my first two doors and I'm delighted with the results. Cuts are clean and the fit is perfect.I also bought the cutters that convert this set for 5.2mm plywood. As you know, "quarter inch" ply is actually somewhat smaller. The 5.2 version leaves enough room for glue.I'm planning to buy other Yonico bits for other purposes; lock bits for drawers and joining bits.

I waited nearly a year for this conversion kit to become available and was about ready to give up then one night 1 set became available so I jumped on it not knowing for sure if I actually needed this or the 5.5 mm kit. I already owned the Yonico 12249 Rail and Stile Router Bit Set but I saw right away while making cabinet drawers that the .25 inch was too sloppy of a fit for the doors, yet fine enough to make drawer faces since I was using .5 inch stock for the panel and merely dado cut it to fit flush. Yonico 12201 Rail and Stile Plywood Conversion Kit for 5.2mm Plywood turned out perfect fit for the .25 inch oak plywood I was planning to use for the door panels. This kit was also nice fit for .25 inch dry erase panel. The kit was easy to use the only difficulty was to figure out which cutter when to which bit since the packaging on each cutter was identical. I started with the rail and removed the nut two spacers and a shim before swapping the cutter, the reversed the order to reassemble. One pass through the router with a test piece and it fit nice on the .25 inch oak ply. The style was same set up except the shim was below the cutter. I chose the cutter from the pair as the one that was perfectly flush and the cutters extended to only one side, where the one on the rail the cutter itself was pretty much centered and clearly extended above and below. I ran a test piece through the router and this piece didn't quite mesh with my first piece, indicating the tongue was a tad too thick, so I disassembled and reversed the shim from below the cutter to above identical to the rail setup. This matched up perfectly. I think this is an excellent option to upgrade a solid middle of the road priced router bit set. I do hope if I wear these cutters out making cabinet doors for my kitchen I can find the conversion set again. Labeling the cutters on the packaging would be nice in the future, but I've only seen one set available in a year so I won't complain.

This is a very nice set of bits for the price. If you're not a professional cabinet maker, and only use this type of bit occasionally, it does a very good job. I'm not sure if it would do well if you were making several sets of cabinets, but it has done very well on the entire set of kitchen cabinets we just completed.
