My kids recently attended a library program where they were introduced to needle felting. As somone allergic to wool, this isn't an art/craft that I have every looked into, but they were enamoured with it. I ordered this kit to help get them started with this hobby. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something which may not stick, so this seemed like a good deal.It comes with plenty of needles, needle handles, little scissors, and thimbles. If you are doing flater needle felting, such as in a hoop, it does not come with the sponge, so you would need that. Luckily my kids were given those at the program. You will also need to fine your own wool roving.

This is a great needle felting tool kit. It comes with 10 each of the 4 most common sizes of needles - 36, 38, 40 & 42 - and they’re all color coded. The needles are triangular style and they’re well made. There are 2 needle tools that can be used to give a better grip on the needles and also to safely store a needle inside for travel. There’s a spring scissors and a pair of leather finger cots to protect your fingers when doing close work. They all come packed in a sturdy reusable plastic storage box.I’m new to needle felting, so am really happy to have additional needles since felting needles are brittle and tend to break, especially when ‘learning the ropes’ of a new hobby. This set is great to have in your kit, lots of needles at a good price.
