This kit comes with all the supplies you need to create adorable little critters. The colors are surprisingly vivid, the needles aren't terrible quality, and the instructions are good. It is a great larger sized kit and would make a great gift for nearly any age. Overall, it's a good value.

I got this for my 10-year old son who loves cats and the final product is adorable. Unfortunately, the instructions are terrible. They seem to be missing the FIRST step of how to divide the wool up into what you need at first and for later sections, we were lucky and had some extra wool of the same color so we had enough for the ears. All instructions start with “after doing X” but how to do X is never mentioned, leaving the reader ultimately lost. I bought it mainly for the needle set and the inspiration, but don’t expect as a beginner to get enough guidance just from this kit.

This is a complete kit. You don’t need much for this craft, but this kit had a good selection of wool to use - some small bags of colored wool and a lot of pure white. The instructions were easy to follow and the needle and pillow were good. Easy to learn, fun to do.

I recently started felting and it's a very addictive hobby!! I like the kit I originally started with but it had a few small flaws. I still purchased a 2nd one for a friend but THIS KIT is honestly much better than the one I got!! The flaw I found in the other kits (the felting pad or foam in them mostly) was that the felting pad is cheap and thin and wears down after a few minutes of working. This kit has a much nicer firmer pad that will last longer and the tool handles are nicer as well. This is absolutely worth the price and makes a wonderful gift for people of all ages who want an easy to do craft that doesn't require much in the way of supplies and getting started...this kit also has everything you need and more! The stencils are nice too and different from most other sets I've seen.

I did decide that this hobby wasn't for me, but that wasn't the fault of the kit or the hobby itself.The kit came well packed, with all the promised tools and instructions. There seemed to be plenty of wool, the instruments worked well, and the instructions were mostly helpful. I did have a bit of doubt about the size of my original wool ball, for the body shape, as it says to compare the size to the size of the actual picture. No big deal, but that seemed a little 'iffy'.My first attempt came out looking more like a mouse than a cat, but that's just me.Other than I just found it wasn't for me, I have no complaints about the kit at all.

I think this is a really fun starter kit. It has everything you need. The projects are cute (I tend to go off script a bit, but I'm happy with what I made). The instructions were pretty good, especially with the link to a YouTube video of it being made, but I wish there was actual verbal instructions about what they were doing and tips for success. Even without that it's pretty easy to get the feel for it and figure it out as you go.I wish there were one more needle handle. There's 3 sizes and two handles, and I don't like having to switch all the time, so I've gone to only using the biggest for shaping and connecting parts, and smallest for smoothing and details. The other thing that I wish was a bit better is the eyes. They're all meant to be the same size, but aren't very consistent, and not quite as big as they should be to look as cute as the pictures. I also wish they included some liquid glue you could inject into the felt to glue the whiskers in. The eyes could use some glue too if you actually want to play with them, but any would probably do as the eye would cover the glue drop. The whiskers wouldn't and they slide in and out very easily with basic handling, so I'm not sure if they're worth putting in until I find a solution.Still, a super fun kit. Would make a great gift. I love that they include finger protectors. Good amount of wool and projects for the price. I am quite happy with it overall, and now I'm hooked on felting! 🙂Edit: after comparing to other kits, other wool, other eyes, I'm more impressed with this kit. No, it didn't fulfill all my dreams, but it's a great deal, and probably the best you're going to find. I would recommend you get this one

I really like this kit; it contains everything you need to recreate those cute little dogs and felted cats. I liked the fact that it came with a very durable felting pad which is bigger than my Woolbuddy pad and I also got plenty of wool to create all of the animals pictured on the box. The instructions aren't the best, but they do provide a QR Code that you can use and watch the videos on YouTube which are way better than trying to follow the scanty instructions that come with the kit. It comes with needles, and it is all nicely packaged and arrived quickly. I am making the dogs for a baby mobile for newborn nephew. This kit is not for children under 10 who might need supervision using the needles. Needle felting is very relaxing but don't expect to have instant gratification you must take your time and work at getting the felting as firm and smooth as possible and looking as close to the picture as you can. I am enjoying this kit immensely.

I am really enjoying making these little characters. I have made three of the dogs so far and they turned out great. Hoping to get the others made soon. All the roving wool is in two packs one for the dogs and one for the cats just make sure you keep enough for each dog or cat. If you watch the video tutorial on Youtube and watch how much she wraps in her hand when she rolls it to make an oval body you should have enough. The code is on the printed instruction sheet use your mobile phone code scanner to take you to the tutorial. I recommend this kit.
