I recently took up felting and have been experimenting with new needles and this gives a great finish. They are smaller but the three close together like this make for smooth and neat felted project, 1 star off for not being able to replace needles even though it leads you to believe they are removeable, they aren't. Still worth it. I'll attach a couple of projects I have made so you get an idea. The comfy couch was structurally felted with this tool and quite a bit of the design was worked with it, and the hummingbird was nearly all completed with this one needle tool. I still need to iron out my fuzzy bits but I'm learning and happy.

This is just a rehash of all the other one-star reviews.The instructions that come with the tool are terrible. Had to read Amazon reviews to figure out how to change the needles (which is near impossible). The manufacturer should have had better instructions. The ones included on the back of the package weren’t complete.The device is so tightly screwed together that I was afraid I’d stab myself or break the thing (because it feels so cheaply made) getting it apart.You really can’t change the needles unless you have needles which have a short enough bent tip end. There isn’t enough room in the shaft of the tool end for longer ends.It feels comfortable in my hand, but I won’t be using it because I want my money back, so I can’t speak for the quality of the needles themselves.It’s a shame. Good concept, terrible execution.

I used this with roving from Knit Picks to mend a moth-eaten jacket. For that, it worked perfectly. Good value and no regrets.

The tool worked great for a while. It really sped up my felting. However, I wasn't able open the tool to replace needles when they broke. Felting needles break once in a while, especially if you're a beginner like I am. Not being able to replace them makes this tool not only inconvenient but a bit dangerous with broken needles sticking out. I would recommend investing in something else and and avoid the waste.

This tool is great! It's really speeding up my work time using three needles at once. It's easy to open (not sure why anyone has struggled, unless they just received a defective item?) & easy to replace the needles. Tip: hold pen/holder upright, gripping the white ring & twist the pink section below the ring towards the left ("lefty-loosey, righty-tighty"), then the needles just pull right out. Easy peasy! The needles themselves are great for this beginner, but if you have certain needles you prefer, you can very easily pop them in. It feels great in my hand & it's nice having a cap to cover the needles (which I recommend you keep on when replacing) & protect yourself. The only thing I'm unsure about is the bottom end... it comes off & it's hollow inside. Why? Am I supposed to be able to store something in there? I absolutely recommend this needle felting needle holder! 100%!
