I bought this thing so that I could play at a football game and as soon as I got home, I looked at my trumpet and realized that it got damaged very badly.The next day we took it to Beacock music where they told us that they could get some of it out, but we would need to ship it all the way from Portland to Seattle so it could get re-plated. We contacted the people in Seattle and they said that the work alone was gonna cost of words of $500. The most important thing is we used it correctly. Yeah, it’s still made a large day and replating wasn’t the only option we had the other option which was to cut off the bell and replace it but it would cost more and we didn’t know when the part would be there. If you’re looking for a Lier, do not buy this because the rubber will break with in a half hour of use, and cannot hold more than one sheet of music before it will scratch the crap out of the trumpet.

We bought this for our high schooler who needs it for pep band. The rubber coating on the feet slips off so easily that when it is entirely tightened on the trumpet tube you can spin it! This is obviously bad when trying to support a music book. My son feels it is also a little too tall to hold his music in a comfortable place. I applied hot glue to the rubber feet to get them to stay in place and we're going to try again, but anything that is brand new that you need to use hot glue on to get it to work can't really be recommended!!

I kinda broke my mello a while back so I have to use clamp lyres instead. This one is the perfect length and width to hold onto the instrument and keep up my flip folder. I don’t know if it would work on baritone, but it’s perfect for a mello.

The protective rubber isn't very durable. The metal underneath broke through and scratched my trumpet. The screw is a bit short. You need to completely unscrew it in order to get it on the trumpet. This might not be much of an issue if it was easier to squeeze the two side together in order to get the screw to thread back in so you could tighten it onto the trumpet.
