First and foremost these things are tiny! Expect to need a magnifying glass to view the sizes written on the taps. They seem to be well made and I’ve used one of them to chase the threads on a couple dozen steel parts now with no issue. The only thing that would make these five star is if they came in a case that separated them for easy identification. I did just that with a clear fishing box and a sharpie.

I bought this selection of tiny metric taps and the larger metric taps from the same supplier. I haven't tried them out yet but they seem well made and OK for my traveling tool kit. Problem is that they are packed loose in a small poly bag and they can rub and bang against each other in the soft bubble shipping pouch. Not good for hardened cutting edges. The smallest 1MM tap arrived broken but a replacement set was sent out right away and I returned the original set. A small piece of folded cardboard would have protected them better but I can't complain at this price point.

I bought this out of necessity, and they did what I needed. I don't use them often enough to give them a proper rating, but I feel that they are a good product for the money. I recommend them.

This set did what I needed and that's all I can say. Idk if they are for metal or not but I used them for 3/8in brass and it was fine. I went extra slow to make sure but they seem high quality to me.

This set of miniature hand taps are exactly what is needed for small threading around the house. The HSS is higher quality than is needed. It will give the taps long life. The only thing needed is a small box that will keep the taps apart and from having damaging contact between the taps.

So far I have tapped 304 Stainless Steel and Aluminum. I didn't expect much for the price but even if I get 10 holes per tap I'll be impressed. But I think I will get more, with proper tapping oil and correct use of the taps there should never be a problem.

I fabricate many small products on my mill and lathe that often require drilling & tapping of holes. The majority of my projects are all US standard sizes, but an occasional metric need comes along to match the existing product. So far, these taps have held up well for my use of aluminum stock materials. I have yet to break one of these small guys, although possible each time I get in a hurry or forget the lube. For the price and assortment of sizes, this set is a fair deal for those who need an occasional thread chase or thread from scratch on soft materials.
