When we received it I was so disappointed, it was small, I thought I had bought the 4in. After my husband used it he loved it. I tried it and loved it. It works great on all the small parts for our picture frames, gumball and candy machines. Great product, would order again.

little tricky to assemble because directions are just pictures no writing it would be easier if they had written directions but over all good little sander for small crafts.

First time belt sander buyer and this thing is a beast I use it for metal fabrication and it defiantly pulls its weight no regrets here

II'm a professional sharpener and these are the best little guys for sharpening knives, pruners, scissors, most anything around the home. It'sThey made the back tension pulley too far back. I could not pull the idler forward enough to put on a belt. They also tightened the main pivot bolt to the point that it would not rock forward but that's an easy fix. But when the belt is on the idler is pressed tight against the spring housing and locks the entire machine like a brake. This was sent to a very remote part of the country and when I arrived after three weeks to show my son the finer points of sharpening that is what I found. Of course the box was long discarded so I couldn't send it back for exchange and it needed to be used so I sanded down the main pulley like a lathe until the belts fit, then as it was running sanded down the idler. Wasn't bad belts either, I had ordered three separate belt packs and all were properly made. Now the belt wavers back a fourth a little and it's still difficult to put on a new belt but it serves the purpose better than a flat stone. Up date - I contacted the seller who is allowing me to order another and use that box to send the defective one back for a refund. That’s good customer service in my book!

This item was damaged. Looked as if it got ran over and smashed with a forklift was repairable but first time I turned it on drive wheel/pulley was not round or balanced it vibrated and sanding belt wouldn't stay on. It was Christmas didnt want the hassle of try to box it up or send it. I ask for a partial refund and got no response for few days. I said hell with it

Belt sander works well, maybe better than you would expect for the price. Motor runs well and has pretty decent power. You'd really have to be jamming something very hard into the belt with a lot of force intentionally trying to stop the motor. I run it pretty hard grinding steel and it keeps up just fine. That being said it runs a too fast for my liking but beggars can't be choosers. All in all, the platform and the adjusters work, not well but they do what they are supposed to do. The backing support plate for the belt is god awful, buy yourself some good belts with this if you can afford them, night and day difference. Would I purchase again? Only if I was on the same budget, but honestly there's nothing too bad I can say about it, it works, and its far from the cheapest made belt sander out there. For what you get youd be hard pressed to build a better one at the same price. I upgraded the main platform to give a better work surface that doesnt have grooves for you workpiece to get snagged on. I did this day one.

This arrived in good order and works as it should. A couple of things to note: the sanding disc was assembled so that it was keeping the motor from turning. I had to move the disc out slightly to free up the motor. Also the directions say the disc turns to the right. That is incorrect, it turns to the left in the same direction as the belt does. I like it and would buy it again. I just wish the sanding discs and belts came in much finer grits for more delicate finishing work. All in all a good deal!
