I work in IT... a couple machines were having screen flickering issues... did all the usual stuff first... updated drivers, swapped out cables, swapped out graphics card, replaced all monitors with new from stock.... nothing worked.... Decided to buy these thinking if i was being driven crazy i may as well try a tinfoil hat worthy solution....Imagine my surprise when they actually seem to work... these are cheap enough for me to keep a few dozen in a drawer to try as a solution to intermittent flickering or noise issues before moving on to the more intensive stuff

Firstly, these things are tiny. They're tight on a standard USB cable. It definitely won't work on a standard power cable or anything else. Secondly, they're very hard to open.

The product really did take the hum out off my pedal board I put one on each cable going in to the pedal and killed the home from two wall warts I have to use. And now I can move the wall warm righr nest to the pedal and the noise difference is huge

This worked perfectly for my application. It eliminated hum from desktop speakers connected to a monitor (with audio coming from DisplayPort or HDMI from PCs and Macs).As others have noted, these are suitable for small diameter cables. I was worried that these chokes would slide down my audio cable, but when clipped on, they are perfect. My audio cable is a typical stereo wire with a 3.5mm jack. The cable thickness is similar to the plug-in end of a set of wired mobile phone earbuds.

This will fit on only the skinny wires on usb devices. They will not work with higher quality and thicker USB wires.They should work fine with skinny speaker wire. So fyi
