Installed more than a week ago. No false alarms so far. The only inconvenience is the led light it’s too bright at night. Extremely bright.

I bought these because of primarily price and compliance with the US safety regulations. I got a set of three. The first one was easily replace with supplied screws. The second one, the electric box was cracked and was above the ceiling panel by 1/2 inch requiring a longer screw that I had to go purchase; it was hard finding a flat head screw (a must for this design) that fit but managed. The third one was a pain as the plate installed on the ceiling is too small and would go through the ceiling panel on one side making it impossible to install irrespective of crew size. I used the old detector (a Kiddi) plate and put the smaller plat below it so that the base was solid and did not go through the ceiling hole. It requires more and longer screws. It took half a day to install, which is too much. Finally, the green light indicating AC power to the unit is very bright and acts as a night light, lighting the whole room. It’s good for some rooms but not the bedroom. I put a tape on it.Suggestion to the vendor to improve quality: provide multiple and longer screw sizes; provide a larger plate to go against the ceiling and prevent your small base plate from falling through the ceiling hole; and either make you AC light adjustable or reduce its intensity.Suggestion to the buyers: check the size of the round base for current detector you have and make sure the replacement is of the same size or keep the base of the current detector and install the new base below it to make it sturdy. The pictures below show one installed with the vendors parts. The second one shows the round plate from the old unit kept and all installed on top of it.

If I could give this product negative stars, I would. We installed five in our home, and immediately one of them started issuing false alarms. We had that replaced via Amazon, only to have another one start doing the same thing. We replaced that one too, and for a week or two everything seemed fine. Then one of them woke us up in the dead of night with yet another false alarm. We took it out, but in the morning multiple of the remaining ones started going crazy, alarming without the slightest possibility of smoke or carbon monoxide in the area. How these detectors are certified for anything, or used by anybody, is beyond me. Absolute trash.

We were looking for a combination, smoke and CO detectors to install in our home upstairs and down. This pack of three did the job without breaking the bank. My husband found them very easy to install and so far they have worked extremely well without being too sensitive, but yet sensitive enough to keep us safe. These worked well as a hardwired option and provide peace of mind for our family.
