First, off, I'm extremely impressed with this product. I put this on my new 2025 Dodge Durango. I'm getting the front end of my car wrapped in PPF, but I figured the rockers and inner doors I can handle on my own. As the model car I got is limited edition and one of the last FCA/Stellantis is making; I wanted to make sure my paint will last a long time. Especially fighting the Midwest seasons between rocks, snow, and salt.I made the mistake thinking I could us a slip solution on this project, I recommend only to spray it on your hands or nitrile/latex glove to prevent the adhesive from sticking to you, but not too much otherwise it won't stick to the car until the water evaporates. (Use a baby shampoo and water or buy a premix)More importantly, for absolute best results, clean the area with a microfiber towel and soapy water. Dry and then wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol until dry to the touch. Then to begin installing your section:Carefully work about a foot or less at a time, sticking the edges where you want, then work your way top down then across in that order. Follow up with a heat gun to stretch and pull into position and smooth. If you don't have a heat gun, this will be very hard to work odd angles and contours. I then cut my edges to their ending points when I was satisfied. You'll have to be patient, especially if your a perfectionist like me. Constantly going back, check for bubbles/wrinkles reheating and then re-stretching. The labor is well worth the result, definitely can tell the thickness will stand up to tough road conditions. All in all well worth the investment!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)I used this XPEL Door Sill Guard on my Ford F-150, and overall, I’m happy with the product. The adhesive went on easily and held securely, and the film looks great, providing solid protection for my door sills. It’s definitely doing the job in terms of preventing scratches and scuffs. The only downside is that I had to purchase another set because the kit didn’t have enough material to cover all four doors. The size is a bit short for my truck, which is why I deducted one star. But once I had the extra set, installation was smooth, and I’m now confident my sills are well protected.Would recommend, but just be aware that you may need to buy a second kit if you're looking to cover all four doors of a larger vehicle.

Used it to cover up a few rust spots on the tail gate of my truck. Covered the rust spots perfectly, high quality material and durable. Was pretty easy to get on.

You don't get much of this door sill tape in the package (only 5ft) but that was just enough. The tape is great though!I installed it in +2C weather and it went well. I used a heat gun to warm up the door sill, cleaned it with alcohol and then installed the tape. I could remove and reposition the tape several times with no issues. To go around the edge, I briefly hit it with hot air from the heat gun on low setting and it easily folded over. Once I was happy, I once again used the heat gun on low setting to lock it into place. Uniform adhesion and no bubbles! The black tape on the door sills looks like it came from the factory. Very clean look and it also feels thicker than clear film. This is the third option I've tried and it's by far the best look and easiest install. Hope this helps!!

Black aluminium framed sliding doors scratch easily on the part you step on, so bought a couple rolls of this to protect it - nice and sticky and grippy for feet. Recommendation to the seller - please give options to buy in longer rolls!

Easily installed on the door sills of my vehicle. Rounded the corners before installing and it looks factory. Has been in place about a week and so far seems to be holding up well. I used a heat gun to help the material stretch over the more complex curve near the rear of the door sills and it worked great. This is a simple and cost-effective way to minimize scratches to the door sills of your vehicle if that is your aim. Adheres well so far, but unknown how long it will hold up.

Used this on my 2016 F350 where the paint was starting to blister from being an old salt truck. Wiped the surface down with alcohol, heated up the panel and lined it up, and applied. Looks good, and should help with the rocks and gravel as well. Probably will buy more in the future.

I was looking for cheap alternatives for door bumper guards as I have long legs and have a habit of scuffing the inside door panel when I get in and out of the car. This product is exactly what it looks like : durable protective tape. Just had enough to apply to 4 doors on a subaru outback. I got 60"x2.75, see pics for roughly how much that is and size. Been on for at least 2 weeks in cold weather, no issues, adhesion strong.Pro:- easy to install- protects against scuffs or scratches- high quality, not done garbage adhesion or material.- multi purpose, not just car, can be high scratch impact areas like wall on garageCon:- paper thin, don't expect it to protect against impact of any kind.- short length, just barely did 4 doors, expect to use 2 rolls for larger vehicles and if you're bad a measuring.

Awesomely tough stuff here, people! Used this on my '05 GMC Sierra 1500 rocker panels after replacing them. This stuff looks OEM and is easy to install if you take your time and do a little prep work. I did both sides, start to finish, in less than an hour - that includes prep time and a Jim Beam Black & Coke, to boot. For a perfect install, order the Kawasaki Heat gun available on Amazon for $23.99. It's a nice piece of kit to have and makes installing this sill guard a breeze. See it here:http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H4I67I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1First, unroll the sill guard inside somewhere warm. Use books, tools, paint can, whatever, to weight it down and straighten it out. Let it sit overnight. You'll be glad you did - the stuff is thick and tightly rolled when it arrives.Next, when you're ready to start, simply wipe down the area you plan to install it on with a clean rag, a smooth one like a piece of t-shirt type material, dowsed with Acetone if you have it handy. If not, Zippo lighter fluid will work just fine. Windex will too, if that's all you have around. Let it dry completely. While the area you cleaned is drying, pop a tape and get your overall length measurement; cut a piece that length. Lay it on the sill and scribe any angle/radius cuts you need to make. Using a sharp pair of scissors cut those angles, etc.Now that you're prepped, whip out that bad boy Heat gun - I prefer using the wide tip on it - and install the sill guard by laying it on the sill and peeling back a few inches of the adhesive cover. Line it up how you want it and put the heat to it. Using your fingers, press the sill guard down firmly and around any contours under it - the heat makes it super pliable and if you heat it too much, it's easy to distort/tear. Once you have that first section down, continue working it the same way until done. Step back and eyeball anywhere you want to reposition it by reheating and reworking it. You'll have an OEM installation when your done.
