This rod fits my needs however it is super cheap and flimsy. I'm using it as a portable "wind sock" pole. I fear it will become damaged in short order. But, for the price, it is a nice buy.

Bought the 1.7m length . Don’t waste your time, very thin and fragile. The rod arrived cracked just where the cap is supposed to be and there are more than one crack. The plastic bag where the rod was came with two labels , the one on top appears to be there to hide the original one that was already torn. Should have read the reviews before buying.

Sweet little rod, stiff but casts well, good value. So tiny I keep it in my glove box for those unexpected spots you sometimes run across.

For the price this thing is great. I actually caught some fish with it! Packs down pretty small for hiking into remote fishing spots. I’m sure you could buy something way fancier, but the fish won’t know the difference.

Cheap option to start tenkara fishing. Them other rods are like $100+Annoyed that there isn’t a stop knot tied. Can’t tie one since the tip is fused with some resin so it’s hardThis rod probably can’t handle a big trout or bass but sunfish and small trout would work.

This is a sub-$10 rod, so it’s not going to compare with a quality Tenkara rod from a major name brand manufacturer, but for the price, this really blew me away.Pros:-Really lightweight.-Really compact.-Very sensitive tip.-Can buy a dozen of these for less than the price of many popular rods-It catches fish just like my expensive rods.-I bought this for my daughter as an intro to fly fishing, and she loves it.Cons:-This is really lightweight because it’s made cheaply and with subpar materials. Since it does not come with a case or a rod tube, due to it’s cheap construction, I suspect it could be easily damaged if it got stepped on or if it got banged around by a child.-The rod cap is too loose on my rod, so if you aren’t careful, the cap can eventually pop off, causing the rod to improperly extend (which could easily jam or break it).Like other reviewers have said, this is as disposable a fishing rod as you can get for the price, so if you want a spare Tenkara rod to loan to a friend or don’t want your child potentially breaking your expensive rods, this is a perfect option. Additionally, if you’re a person who just wants to try out Tenkara fishing (which does not involve a reel) to see if it’s for you or are experienced and just want a backup rod for a trip, this is the way to go. I can cast this small rod well, and I think if you treat it with extra special care, it could catch fish for a long time.
