I really love X-Mark equipment in my home gym. After using their lat pulldown machine and bench for years, I finally got this leg machine. I’m very happy with it. It’s amazing to have commercial gym quality equipment at home. This is a great product for the price. Took about 1.5 hours to assemble by myself. I used my own tools rather than the ones provided. It’s comes in three large boxes. Excellent product.

Like everything Xmark makes, this thing is solid. The tubing is thicker gauge than the cheaper models out there, and the bolted gussets actually make a stronger connection than fillet welds do. As others have mentioned, the physics of this type of machine design results in no resistance at the starting point and then max resistance at the endpoint. Doesn't matter what machine you buy, if it is swinging a plate on a hinge then it will be the same. There is a trick to beat this problem though-- you can hang a 10lb plate on the stop pin so that the main weight will hit the small plate and not be able to return to the center position. With this setup you will have some resistance at the beginning, then max resistance in the middle and then resistance tapering back off again once you cross the horizontal position. This works in both directions. The only option to get a constant resistance for the whole swing is to rig a cable to the weight pin which runs to a pulley style stack on some other machine, which is probably impractical for most people.

Im a heavy lifter and know the gym. I bench over 500 lbs and don't listen to whiner/cant figure stuff out ... reviews. This is a solid machine people. They have a grease fitting to keep the machine lubricated (do this!!!) and you will have no issues. I use this for a definition machine not to build the power. I usually place 50 to 125 lbs on this machine twice a week. 5 sets of 25 up 5 sets of 25 curl. When I got the xmark I gave it 4 stars because the seat is wobbly but its not that wobbly and it hasn't gotten worse in 4 years so its good. Peace.

We will see how this goes and I will revise my review, but I only received 2 out of 3 boxes of parts. I contacted Amazon who will contact the seller. I ordered this well in advance of Christmas, and it is now Dec 15 and I am without parts. I hope they deliver asap.Update: parts showed up the very next day. Outstanding support and what appears to be a wonderful product.

I am very happy with my xmark leg extension and curl machine. My physical condition is probably different than most: My whole spine is fused from c2 to s2 and getting around machines is often difficult. I have built a good home gym but have not worked quads and hams for almost a year but now ten years of surgeries are finished and I'm healed enough to start legs again. It took some effort to find the best seat positions, pegs to pin and a way to get the knee pads inserted while seated, but I did and now it does everything I want. This can easily hold enough 45lb plates for anyone and it is very solid in use. The hand grips are a bit low for me, but I can reach them. I am only 5'10", but 265lbs and have been a bodybuilder when I was younger. This machine is probably going to wear very well and stays solid and smooth even while using heavy weights. The only cheap pieces are the plastic sleeve inserts and the knee pads post is undersized and wobbly. I will probably make my own from better-fitting square tube steel. One other annoyance is that I havr to remove this knee pad piece every time I want to get off the machine. There are better, adjustable knee pad designs in more expensive machines but this does work. The knee pads themselves could be a little firmer: I like a snug fit when working hamstrings and the soft pads have quite a bit of give. The leg extension shin pad is very comfortable even using 230lbs(the most I have done so far).Overall, this is very solid, smooth and heavy duty. It is adjustable and should be a good fit for everyone.

Hi fellow weight lifters. I have just received this and enjoy it but I would note one thing. I saw in the photo that the weight tree was a Olympic weight stand so I naturally thought the portion for lifting it where my 10s are in the photo would be Olympic but it is standard. So standard and Olympic weights work on this. I won’t go out of my way to big standards for this but it’s good to know. It doesn’t move a lot and I to add although you could set this up well by yourself I paid someone to do it and now have no issue. In some comments they mentioned wobble and such and as someone who seeks my work outs to be close to perfection in that the equipment has none of this I opted into spending a 50$ amount to a handyman to put it together for me. And well spent because he did it quickly and painlessly. I guess you could go the “I know how to get there without a map” route, which I would do for ikea furniture and what not but I prefer stability and damn near perfection so I hired a professional. That makes all the difference. No need to grin and bear it if I’m spending 500 on machine in most cases just save an extra 40-100 dollars and hire someone. Now this mentality may not be what you want to hear but it’s true for me. I can level a shelf and put one up and I even made the platform you see in front of the machine, but I didn’t want to let anything be up to chance. This was a great investment. For reference also it is 135 lbs so expect a work out of you’re going upstairs to bring it inside. I’m 5’2 so I had my friend carry it in for me since he is 6’1 long arms.
